The Prohibited Fruits
A luxuriant garden is a sight to see. The trees are majestic and towering, with exquisite fruits of every color and form stacked high on their branches. The beautiful aroma of budding flowers permeates the air, fireflies abound, and owls hoot to add to the enchanting mood. As moonlight peeps through the leafy canopy, everything in the garden is drenched in a cool glow.
The Big Fat Boy observes delicious fruits hanging from the trees as he walks through the verdant gardens. His stomach grumbles loudly, reminding him how long he has gone without a proper meal. He grabs a mouthful of fruit from a neighboring tree without thinking.
He is startled to hear a harsh voice behind him. Come to a halt right there!
What exactly do you think you're doing?" When he turns back, he sees a towering, intimidating man wearing a black hooded cloak. It is the garden's defender.
What's the problem?
The chubby lad inquired with his mouth still full of the luscious fruit.
The fruit in this garden is not for eating,
the Guardian states emphatically. It's here to be appreciated and admired, not consumed.
But I'm so hungry,
he says. I couldn't resist.
That may be, but rules are rules,
I point out. You'll have to leave the garden right now.
He goes away from the garden, his head down in sadness, feeling ashamed of himself for breaching the rules. The Big Fat Boy swears he will never misbehave again and wonders how to fulfill his appetite.
As he prepares to go, the Big Fat Boy devises a strategy. He knows he won't be able to resist the urge to eat the fruit if he's hungry, so he enlists the assistance of a buddy to raid the garden.
He phones a buddy and informs him about the forbidden fruits in the garden. His buddy enthusiastically agrees to assist him, and they both plot to sneak into the garden that night and harvest as much fruit as they can carry.
When they return to the garden that night, they discover that the guardian has vanished. The Big Fat Boy and his companion make their way to the trees and begin picking the fruit, filling their bags with as much as they can carry; it's a dream come true for their rumbling bellies. They can't believe how good the fruit tastes, and they experience a feeling of accomplishment as they escape with their booty.
However, they hear a commotion behind them as they leave the garden. They turn around to find the guardian sternly looking at them.
What do you think you're doing?
says the guardian, apparently annoyed to see them again.
The Big Fat Boy scrambles to concoct a compelling tale, but it's too late. The guardian is well aware of their plans, and they will not allow them to get away with it this time. As the guardian leads him and his companion out of the garden, he lowers his head in shame, resolving never to breach the rules again.
As the guardian leads the large obese child and his companion out of the garden, the two boys devise a plan to divert the guardian's attention and make a break for it. The large overweight kid acts unwell, leaning down and gripping his stomach.
Guardian, please, my friend is not feeling well,
the huge obese boy's pal adds, his finest acting abilities on display. Can we stop for a moment so he can catch his breath?
Concerned about their safety, the Guardian permits them to pause and gather their breath. While the guardian is preoccupied, the large overweight kid and his pal break for it, carrying their bags of fruit.
When they're safely out of the garden, The Big Fat Boy and his pal celebrate their win, marveling at how much fruit they could steal. They decide to share their bounty with the starving folks in the neighboring town and head off with their bags brimming with fruit. They return to town, eager to share the luscious fruits with their hungry neighbors.
The Big Fat Boy and his companion cheerfully distribute the fruit, watching others excitedly eat it. But as they eat, the delicious fruit becomes rotten and crawls with worms. Are you trying to poison me?!
exclaimed the starving beggar elderly guy. And the fruit they ate astonished and sickened many homeless people.
The Big Fat Boy and his companion soon discover that the fruit in the garden is not intended for food but for appreciation.
Feeling bad about their deeds, The Big Fat Boy and his pal return to the garden with the ruined fruit. They apologize to the guardian and offer to help replant the garden, pledging to preserve its beauty for future generations.
As the Big Fat Boy apologizes to the guardian for stealing and returning the fruits, his pal apologizes for their acts. He realizes he was wrong to encourage the Big Fat Boy to take from the garden and vows to be a better farmer by following the rules.
The guardian hears their apologies and is
