About this ebook
—Radhanath Swami
Jesus Christ was the true servant leader. He was not puffed up, self-important, or even prideful. As a matter of fact, from all accounts, he was humble. In addition to these qualities, he was known to be full of charity, love, virtue, pure intent, patience, and grace. What makes this so amazing is these are qualities other people testified of him, never self-aggrandizement.
It is this type of leadership that is powerful, powerful to change lives, give people hope, give people courage, and encouragement to change. This is the epitome of leadership, to cause a change in behavior.
Too many leaders make it about them, not the people they lead. These are the managers/leaders that can and should follow the Christlike principles in leadership. The sad reality is they tell themselves, “It applies to everyone but them.”
In the King James Bible, we read in Mathew 7:3, “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”
If serving is below you, leadership is beyond you.

Chapter 1
Forward
According to Google, the eight most powerful people in the world currently are the following:
Xi Jinping
Vladimir Putin
Donald Trump
Angela Merkel
Jeff Bezos
Pope Francis
Bill Gates
Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud
From running countries to billionaires, to politicians and even Hollywood movie stars, these people help to shape the world we live in now.
However…
There is one man that walked the face of the earth that was the most powerful, most influential, most effective leader in the world, save it be Jesus Christ.
His teachings, his example, his sacrifice have changed the world forever. Even if you are not a believer, his ministry, his teachings, his enabling power have been written about, copied, talked about, and replicated more than any living soul on this earth.
The Bible that talks about his birth, his life, and his death has been translated and written in many different languages. According to Wikipedia, they write:
The Bible has been translated into many languages from the biblical languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. As of September 2020, the full Bible has been translated into 704 languages, the New Testament has been translated into an additional 1,551 languages and Bible portions or stories into 1,160 other languages.
Songs, poem, movies, plays have been written about his life and death. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is important to understand that we believe in the King James Version of the Bible with the caveat that it was translated correctly. It is a standard work we read and study and is a critical part of our religion.
We also have the Book of Mormon that is an addition to the Holy Bible. Many of the passages in this book have been taken from standard works. Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon will be referenced throughout. However, for the purpose of the chapters, we have a book we read, study, and train both as adults and as youth.
This book, Preach My Gospel, contains instruction for living a more Christlike life. It instructs on how to teach, preach, and live the Gospel using the Holy Ghost as the true converter and testifier of Jesus Christ. Basically, it is our instruction manual prior and during service and mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have a First Presidency that would be like a board of directors in the secular world. This is what they have to say about this book (Preach My Gospel):
Dear Fellow Missionary:
We congratulate you on the great opportunity you have to be a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There is no more compelling work than this, nor any which brings greater satisfaction.
Preach My Gospel is intended to help you be a better-prepared, more spiritually mature missionary and a more persuasive teacher. We urge you to use it daily in your personal and companion preparation, and in your district council and zone conferences. Study the referenced scriptures and learn the doctrine and principles.
We invite you to rise to a new sense of commitment to assist our Father in Heaven in His glorious work. Every missionary has an important role in helping to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man
(Moses 1:39).
The Lord will reward and richly bless you as you humbly and prayerfully serve Him. More happiness awaits you than you have ever experienced as you labor among His children. (The First Presidency)
So why is this so important? Because I have seen the Christlike attributes listed in Chapter 6 titled How Do I develop Christlike Attributes
in the book called Preach My Gospel. Some of the most admired and most trusted leaders I have rubbed shoulders with have demonstrated these traits. I am using these character traits of Jesus Christ as the bases for my
