Chapter 1 SMALL KEYS THAT OPEN GREAT DOORS

Nobody enters the presence of God (aimlessly) and comes back with something

concrete or significant.

The strength of a man is always traceable to his knowing where God is going and he going in the same direction. If you want to quickly become

weak and irrelevant in life, when God is going this way, you  go  the  opposite  way.  At  that  moment,  you  will realise  like  Samson  of  old  did,  that  you're  not  that important,  and  that  what  ticks  in  you  actually  is  the presence  of  the  Lord  in  your  life.  Therefore  the  first lesson you my reader will be learning in this book is that you  must  make  every  effort  to  align  yourself  rightly with God's style of doing things so that whatever He's doing for others He may do for you also.

God is Consistent

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. That is not a cliche, but the truth. God does not change as man changes. He is constant and consistent. Therefore if you have been asking Him for something and you seem not to  be  getting  it,  don't  doubt  God,  rather  check  with yourself. Are you consistent?

Some people find themselves in the midst of a great move of God's Spirit, maybe in a prayer meeting or a night vigil or even a retreat but somehow they just do not flow at all. When such meetings are over, they come back exactly (sometimes worse than) the way they went in, whereas some other persons go away with baskets of blessings. 

And  the  losers  want  to  accuse  God  of unfairness, but He says: Do not accuse Me of being partial, because those who honour Me I will honour. When I change the stories of the ones who have chosen to honour Me, others will become mere watchers wondering what is going on. Therefore I say to you as you begin to read this book that the choice is yours what you get from the giving hands of God. He can and will do for you exactly what He has done for others, by changing mourning into dancing, and giving beauty for their ashes; but it's not a solo effort. God wants you to be as involved as He is in changing your story.

Whoever takes God serious will also be taken serious by God.  You  will  discover  that  for  such  ones  there  is nothing like disappointment. If you have been in the habit of taking God for granted and just doing as you please when you get into His presence, this is the time to change your attitude. You can begin your journey into the  extraordinary  today  by  repenting.  Repent  of  your past  lackadaisical,  nonchalant,  anything  goes  attitude of  presenting  yourself  before  God.  God  is  no  more serious over your matter than you are.

In the Old Testament whenever the people would come into God's presence there was a way that Moses must prepare the Priests, Levites and the people themselves. One of the most important things you will see God

telling  him  is  that  the  people  must  wash  their garments  and  be  clean.  This  was  a  type  of repenting in order to present themselves holy and without  blemish  before  the  Lord.  Let  nothing stand  between  you  and  your  blessings  before God

Secondly I have discovered that many people do not read the Word of God at all or they do not read it with attention. As a result they do not apply the Word correctly in the place of prayer. This is also a problem  that  may  be  frustrating  your  prayer results.  When  you  read  the  Word  of  God  with maximum concentration and with the help of the Holy Spirit you will be able to develop relevant prayer points to your situation. The Word is not written for fun or for casual observers. It is written for those who will take time to study it, commit it to heart and memory and also observe to do as it says. This is a sure key to victory.

Your Bible does not have to remain as new as the day  you  bought  it.  You  must  not feel  afraid  or reluctant  to  mark
