Crystal Lynn Penelton

Minister Crystal Penelton, born and raised in St. Louis, MO by her parents Floyd and Delores Penelton, of whom are now deceased. Crystal is the middle child of three children. In 2012, Crystal was crowned as an ordained minister of the gospel following her graduation ceremony from International Bible College of Theology Seminary. Minister Penelton was called into ministry in 2002. After running for nine years, Crystal finally said “Yes” to God and accepted her call to minister to hurting women. Crystal is the founder of “From Tears to Grace Ministries”, which encourages women on becoming God’s glory by learning how to love themselves, teaching on healthy self-worth and relationships, and walking into their calling, all by Trusting God. When God commissioned her to minister and encourage hurting women, she took up the call not understanding or knowing all that she would encounter to get to where she is now. Minister Crystal has spread God’s word of encouragement at women’s conferences, retreats and church services for women’s day.

    Acknowledgements

I would like to thank God first and foremost for the vision of writing these letters to help encourage, give hope and save lives. Thank you, Lord, for the events that occurred in my life and has grown me to this point of wanting to encourage women to keep pushing through. If He did it for me, God will surely do it for you. And, thank you, Holy Spirit for giving me the words to say to help heal and give hope.

I would also like to thank my best friend who has been encouraging me to finally finish this book. She has been there from the beginning and along with God, has walked with me through the trials I have gone through. Thank you, Dawn Rogers, for your support and feeding me God’s word anytime I felt like giving up.

And finally, I would like to thank my children for being patient while I went through each fiery trial in my life since the age of understanding. Thank you, for being my purpose in life to keep going. Thank you, for all your prayers and love which helped me to encourage myself when there was no one.

How to get the best out of your devotional time

    Devotional:

As you are reading each devotional, know that they are real life situations that has happened to me, others and possibly you. Read with an open heart and mind to receive and ask yourself questions; have I done this, do I do this, do I know of anyone who would or has done this? But most of all enjoy it. Listen for what God is trying to tell you.

    Encouraging word:

After reading the devotional, and you have read the encouraging word, I pray that you are encouraged and ready to do something about what you have discovered about yourself. I pray that you are encouraged enough to share with someone else to help encourage them. I pray that you receive the encouragement. Sometimes as a woman, we forget or don’t know how to encourage ourselves, so we are left feeling down or lost about what to do next or even how to start our next step in life. Listen for what God is trying to tell you.

    Scripture:

Be sure to read all scriptures. After reading, meditate on them, listen for God telling you what He wants you to know from each one. Write them upon the tablets of your heart, memorizing them so they will be there ready to come up and out of your belly when needed.

    Journaling:

After you have read everything, journal what God is telling you, through the devotional, the encouraging word, the scriptures and prayer. Use your journaling notes to go back to read repeatedly. This part is about God speaking to you and no one else. Be sure to listen and be obedient. Date your journaling so you will know when God told you to do something or just spoke to your heart. Take note of when it comes to pass.

    Prayer:

As you are reading the prayer, read it out loud so you can hear yourself, and like the word says, When you pray, say not think, although God knows our thoughts but if we want to be obedient, He says to speak. Add to the prayer if led to. Speak what God is laying on your heart to pray.

    DEVOTIONAL 1

    Who Can Find You?

    Who Can Find You?

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

    Matthew 13:45-46 (KJV)

Ladies, have you ever wondered why it seems like no one sees you or understand you? Why some women get abused and others don’t? Why you feel so unworthy and others or confident? Well, ask yourself first, what do you see in you, do I understand who I really am, Am I allowing the disrespect from a man to continue because of fear and do I respect myself? The abuse (physically, mentally or emotionally) and the disrespect happens because neither you or them (people) understand or see what God sees in you. The bible says, Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10). This type of woman is a description of who we can be, a mother, an entrepreneur, blessed, trusted, encouraging, strong, giving, honorable, wise, kind, and fears the Lord. Do not be desperate to find love or be alone. God will bring the right man to you. Focus on God, receive His love, read His word and wait on Him. Get to know and love you because you are precious, worthy and clothed with royalty.

    Crystal Penelton

    Scripture:

A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds.

    Proverbs 31:10 (MSG)

    Encouraging Word: Emotions

As women, dealing with our emotions can be a hard thing for us to do. Some people may not understand why we get so upset over some things, but to that woman, their emotions are powerful and real. At this point, we should check our hearts to see what is really going on. But, like the caption above says, we must learn to control them for us to be free. We must learn to manage our emotions before they manage us. When our emotions get the best of us, it causes us to get upset or just down right angry, to cry, to become depressed, to bring unfruitful thoughts into our minds, to possibly want to end a friendship or
