PMP Exam Code Cracked - Phill Akinwale

    Chapter 1: Introduction

To pass the PMP exam, you need to adopt a mindset of strategic thinking, much like a military operative. You could be dropped from a chopper anywhere at any time of the day or night to solve a problem. Not only do you need to know where you are on the grid, but you also need to know the exact problem you are solving and how to solve it.

One effective approach to problem-solving is the D-I-G-C-I-V method, which stands for DEFINE the problem, IDENTIFY the root cause, GENERATE alternatives, CHOOSE the best alternative, IMPLEMENT the solution, and VERIFY it is indeed effective and correct.

The first step is to DEFINE the problem. This means reading the question carefully and understanding the situation you're facing, much like a soldier surveying the battlefield.

The next step is to IDENTIFY the root cause of the problem, which requires a thorough analysis of the question to determine what is causing the problem, just as a military strategist seeks to identify the enemy's weak points.

Once you've identified the root cause, the third step is to GENERATE alternatives. This involves brainstorming potential solutions to the problem based on the root cause identified in the previous step, much like a military strategist evaluates potential courses of action.

The fourth step is to CHOOSE the best alternative. This requires a critical evaluation of each option generated in the previous step and choosing the best solution that addresses the root cause of the problem, similar to a military leader selecting the best strategy to achieve victory.

Next, you need to IMPLEMENT the solution effectively, much like a military commander executing a well-thought-out plan with precision and attention to detail.

Finally, the last step is to VERIFY that the solution is indeed correct, much like a military leader evaluating the results of their strategy and adjusting as necessary.

By applying the DI G CIV method with a military mindset, you can approach the PMP exam with a clear problem-solving strategy.

Remember to approach each question like a soldier surveying the battlefield, identify the root cause of the problem like a strategist evaluating the enemy, evaluate potential solutions like a military leader assessing courses of action, and execute the best solution with precision and attention to detail like a commander on the battlefield. With this approach, you can CONQUER the exam and emerge victorious.

When answering PMP exam questions, it's not uncommon to encounter questions with multiple correct answers or seemingly correct answers that are not completely correct. In such cases, using the process of elimination can be a strategic approach. Rather than trying to identify the best solution immediately, eliminating options that are definitely incorrect or less likely to be correct can help narrow down the options and increase the probability of selecting the correct answer. It's important to note that this strategy should be used when in doubt, as selecting answers blindly can decrease the probability of selecting the correct answer.

    Process of Elimination

The process of elimination is a strategy that involves eliminating options that are obviously incorrect or irrelevant, in order to narrow down the possible solutions to a problem. This strategy is often used when faced with multiple options or answers, such as in a multiple-choice test or a complex project management scenario.

When using the process of elimination, it's important to systematically evaluate each option and eliminate the ones that are clearly incorrect or unlikely to be correct. This can help to reduce the number of possible solutions, making it easier to identify the correct one.

In the context of the PMP exam, the process of elimination can be an effective strategy for answering difficult questions. If you are unsure about a particular question, try to eliminate the answers that are clearly incorrect or do not match the requirements of the question. This can help to increase your chances of selecting the correct answer, even if you are unsure about the specifics of the question.

However, it's important to use the process of elimination strategically, rather than relying on it as the sole method for answering questions. Sometimes, eliminating all but one answer may not be possible, and you may need to rely on your knowledge and intuition to select the best option.

Finally, you need to be able to think on your feet and adapt quickly to changing circumstances, just like a military operative in the field. This means understanding the terrain and the gamut of project management knowledge, including Agile and hybrid approaches.

To succeed on the PMP exam, you need to be able to apply your knowledge to practical situations and be able to analyze problems using a structured approach like the D-I-G-C-I-V model. You should also be familiar with key leadership concepts and models like the Hersey-Blanchard model and servant leadership.

When it comes to Agile, you need to be able to answer questions on a range of topics, including Scrum roles, basic Kanban, and Agile principles. You should also be comfortable with answering questions on hybrid approaches, which combine traditional project management with Agile methods.

To help you succeed, you can use resources like cheat sheets and practice exams to reinforce your knowledge and identify areas where you need to focus your study. With the right
