GO! Evangelism is a new paradigm that challenges all to immediately answer the evangelical call and provides the confidence to embark on the “Great Commission.” This book shows the anxious heart of our Heavenly Father who laments humanity’s lack of faith but also desires all believers to proselytize and plant the seeds of the gospel.

    Introduction

GO! Evangelism is a new and powerful paradigm that challenges all believers to immediately answer the call of evangelism and provides you with the confidence to embark on the Great Commission.

This book shows not only our heavenly Father’s anxious heart lamenting the reality of many helpless, weak, and hesitating believers lacking firm faith, but also His earnest desire for all believers to go out on the road with passion and testify the Gospel.

All believers who have experienced God’s grace and have been born again through the piercing realization of sin and repentance have the burden and hope of actively witnessing the Gospel of salvation to many perishing souls.

Even if you are not yet born again, the Holy Spirit will awaken, sustain, guide, and strengthen your spirit in the holy and blessed way, so that if you obey, muster courage, and go out boldly to plant the Seeds of the Gospel in many dying souls, you will surely experience the joy, blessings, and glory of receiving the power of the Holy Spirit and being born again.

Spencer Cho, the Founder of GO! Evangelism Ministry, urges and challenges all Christians to boldly go out and plant the ‘Seeds of the Gospel’ to as many perishing souls as possible and pray for their salvation, as time is running out fast and His coming is imminent.

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. (1 Corinthians 9:16–17)

With the passionate inspiration from the Lord, Spencer established GO! Evangelism Ministry, a non-profit Christian organization almost twenty-five years ago. With the help of many pastors and missionaries worldwide, the GO! Ministry has published GO! Gospel Tracts, the Powerful Seeds of the Gospel in over fifty languages, each about twelve to twenty-four pages. GO! Ministry continues its powerful work of training evangelists in many cities of the nation.

These powerful Seeds of the Gospel tracts are now available at these GO! Ministry sites below:

    www.GospelTracts.org

    www.BibleTracts.org

The mission statement of Spencer is very brief: To reach the countless perishing souls and motivate and equip all believers to become evangelists who are full of enthusiasm, joy, and gratitude. This has been the mission the Lord has entrusted to him, and it is what he always does most of the time possible.

God has given us the most powerful and effective method of evangelism that is absolutely necessary in this age. It is not individual evangelism or relational evangelism, which many evangelists have used experiencing many difficulties, but planting the seeds of the Gospel in countless lost souls believing in God’s power of salvation.

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. (1 Corinthians 3:6–8)

Obeying God’s command to GO! and Plant means embarking on the road with unconditional love and the conviction to sow the powerful ‘seeds of the Gospel’ within the hearts of many perishing souls as we firmly believe in God’s almighty sovereignty. This approach has been the strongest, fastest, and easiest way to evangelize, reaching many souls with joy and great enthusiasm.

Spencer wrote this book to urgently challenge and encourage all Christians to participate in this amazing salvation work of God, because His return is imminent. He also has trained and raised many GO! Evangelists in many different cities of the country to actively go out and sow the ‘Seeds of the Gospel’ with joy and enthusiasm that God is very pleased with.

Over the past few years, as Spencer has personally walked the streets and planted the Seeds of the Gospel in more than fifty thousand dying souls, he came to realize why he has been always so happy and filled with the growing enthusiasm. He became convinced that the joy and happiness he enjoyed was not something he felt with his will, but that it was the joy of the heavens that God allowed him to experience and the happiness that God gave him.

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17)

GO! Evangelism Ministry has published over 12.5 million copies of the GO! Gospel tracts in various languages, and over 10 million ‘Seeds of the Gospel’ have actually been planted in the hearts of many lost souls all over the country by many fellow GO! Evangelists.

GO! is a simple and yet very powerful command with profound implications. For too many perishing souls, the gate of hell is blocked only by the obedient, sacrificial, and loving God-glorifying work of evangelists.

GO! Evangelism removes all possible problems and stumbling blocks of existing evangelism approaches and makes us listen to the Lord’s earnest request. In other words, we must go out unconditionally and sow the seeds of the Gospel by joyfully obeying God’s voice: Go and Plant!

In such a field of evangelism, many GO! Evangelists experience the power of the Holy Spirit directly and discover that they are being transformed into amazingly faithful servants of God.

Spencer wants to share with all the believers in the United States and around the world the secret and rich blessings of a happy and prosperous Christian life, burning with this great joy and thrill, gratitude and praise, and passion and sense of duty.

Now, Spirit-filled GO! Evangelists full of holy zeal, joy, and enthusiasm are springing up like wildfire all over the United States, and countless lost souls are now being saved by God through their faithful dedication and fervent love for the Lord.

Chapter 1: America, Repent and Believe the Gospel!

America was built on a foundation of Christian principles and values. If we claim to be one nation under God, how can we be so arrogant as to ignore His commandments and still expect His abundant blessings?

In John 14:15, Jesus said, If ye love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15).

The Book of Revelation clearly warns us about turning from our sins. The apostle John prophesied of prevalent, deadly sins in the end times—demon worship, idolatry, lukewarmness, murder, magic arts and witchcraft, sexual immorality, theft, and refusal to repent. The context makes it clear that these are sins that will be especially prevalent among those living in the end times.

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Revelation 2:5)

The United States is now again entering an era of extreme division and chaos over the right to abortion. Since several years ago, the equality law to protect the rights of LGBTI (short for ‘lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex’; also used as an abbreviation for ‘people of various sexual orientations’) people has been promoted centered on the Universal Right, and the Christian community is increasingly concerned about it.

Recently, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the church community has been saying that at this time prayer is needed more than ever to restore the significantly reduced church membership and the reduced worship attendance rate. The current situation in the United States is similar to that of the early church; just as the early church achieved victory through prayer in the midst of many hardships and problems, if we pray earnestly, God’s work, which is greater than any of our problems, will surely happen.

The most serious of the many serious problems at present is the lack of genuine repentance of our believers. Living in this difficult time, our children are in a state of spiritual confusion due to pornography, sexual promiscuity, and pretense racism, and all of us believers who see America falling apart spiritually should repent and pray. The very chaotic America and the world can only be saved by God, and it is time for us spiritually asleep believers to wake up and fervently pray together.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The United States has now reached an unprecedented family, religious, and ethical crisis. It reminds us of God’s breaking heart that has no choice but to vomit out this nation when we oppose God’s will (see Revelation 3:16). In this sorrow that this country that once took the lead in missions around the world has now reached a point where God has no choice but to vomit it out, the saints must rise up and pray and evangelize.

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. (Joel 2:12–13)

We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) (2 Corinthians 6:1–2)

If we guard ourselves in the Lord with true repentance, He will raise us up. Everyone, let’s repent and believe the Gospel. Let’s repent of idolatry, of acting according to our own will, of arrogance, of vanity, of love of money, and of falling into materialism. We are still enslaved by the media, immersed in the lies and fun of the world. The world’s powerful media are manipulating what we should believe, what we should fear, what we should love, and what we should hate.

After John the Baptist was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the Gospel of God and saying, Repent and believe the Gospel.

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Mark 1:14–15)

Jesus told them to believe in the Gospel, indicating exactly how they needed to change their minds. Mark refers to Jesus’ message as the gospel of the kingdom of God or the good news of God. It was good news that the kingdom of God was at hand, and Jesus was preparing His listeners for how to be part of that kingdom.

The majority of Jesus’ audience thought they were already righteous and would gain entrance to the kingdom of God because of their association to Abraham and Moses and because they thought they were keeping the laws God had given to Israel through Moses.

In Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7), Jesus taught His audiences how they should change their minds and how they could be part of the kingdom of God. Their association to Abraham and Moses wasn’t good enough, and their supposedly righteous deeds simply were not enough. Jesus explained that the standard of righteousness God requires are truthful internal righteousness, and they certainly did not yet have that. They really needed a savior, but only a few would understand and recognize that need.

Jesus proclaimed that the people needed to repent and believe in the Gospel because the kingdom of God was at hand. Unfortunately, Jesus’ audience wasn’t yet prepared for the kingdom of God, because they hadn’t yet understood and recognized that they really needed the Messiah to make them righteous, or that Jesus was the Messiah. They really needed to repent and believe in the Gospel right then, because the kingdom of God was close at hand. Some really did change their minds about how they could be righteous, and they believed in Jesus, but most of them and the nation as a whole did not believe.

In the near future, Jesus will return to the earth as King, and because of what the Bible tells us about the future, we also need to repent and believe in the Gospel, for the kingdom of God is at hand. We must change our minds from unbelief to belief and recognize that we are saved by grace through faith and not by our own works.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8–9)

When we believe in Christ for our salvation, we are already transferred to His kingdom.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. (Colossians 1:13)

What really happens to an unsaved person when the person dies?

We often hear at funerals that the person the service is memorializing is in heaven. Even if the person has never made a profession of trusting Jesus Christ as Savior or has never shown any indication that he or she was saved, many still believe that the deceased person is in heaven.

Many people believe that everyone goes to heaven when they die. The Bible never says that all are going to heaven. The Bible clearly states that there is only one way to get to heaven, and that is by trusting that Christ’s blood was payment for one’s sins. It is only through salvation that one can go to heaven.

The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself says this in John 14:6:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is not just a way, as in one of many; Jesus is the only way, as in the one and only.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

No one, regardless of achievement, reputation, special talent and knowledge, or personal holiness, can come to God the Father except through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to heaven for several important reasons. Jesus was chosen of God to be the Savior (1 Peter 2:4). Jesus is the only one to have come down from heaven and to have returned there (John 3:13). Jesus is the only person to have lived a perfect human life (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus is the only sacrifice for sin (1 John 2:2; Hebrews 10:26). Jesus alone fulfilled the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17). Jesus is the only man to have conquered death forever (Hebrews 2:14–15).

These three words—Christ conquered death—define the most important difference between Christianity and all other religions. No other religious leader ever predicted his own death and resurrection. Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus is the only man whom God has exalted to the highest place (Philippians 2:9).

America claimed to be One nation under God; now it has fallen and refuses to repent.

America, which was built on a foundation of Christian principles and values, simply refuses to repent. We have shaken our defiant fist at God and removed Him from our public square and our laws of governance. We have murdered innocent babies and have defiantly and proudly flaunted depraved sexual behavior. In our schools and in our homes, we have indoctrinated our innocent children in the ways of Baal.

When the cries of those oppressed by racial injustice and severe hatred of heart could no longer be ignored, we simply refused to repent.

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Revelation 2:5)

God is loving and merciful. But God is also just. We must return to our first love and put our hope and trust in Him, and in Him alone. We must repent as God’s people, because the time is running out very fast. We must repent as one nation under God. Only the Word of God can save fallen humanity before it gets too late. Why America must repent communicates crucial and critical messages about repentance and its relevance and importance in today’s society. Repenting and understanding the love of God is the absolute best and only way to reconcile with God.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. (Isaiah 1:4)

Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, Ye people of Gomorrah. (Isaiah 1:10)

And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. (Isaiah 1:15–17)

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. (Isaiah 1:19)

The Bible tells us that calling evil good and good evil will bring disaster on all those who do it.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. (Romans 1:18)

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:29–32)

We must come now and gather before the Lord to repent and pray and seek His face.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

    GO! Evangelism is Jonah’s evangelism!

The saints who long for the Lord’s imminent return and wait for Him are living in a special and urgent time now. The great commission that the Lord has entrusted and willed to Christians for them to preach the Gospel to all nations in the world seems to be nearing its fulfillment.

As the Lord said, And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14). Now we feel the sense of urgency that we are living in the time when the Lord’s return in the air is not far away.

However, at the same time, as I have personally met and witnessed the Gospel to more than fifty thousand multiracial souls over the past few years, I felt indescribable despair and sadness.

This is because I have come to the conclusion that it is absolutely impossible for the Gospel of salvation to be witnessed to countless perishing unbelievers around the world with the current slow, reluctant, and powerless evangelism paradigm.

Currently, most of the unreached people groups are regions with strong Hinduism, Sikhism, and Muslim traditions, where it seems almost impossible for the Gospel to enter; regions where it is difficult for missionaries to enter, such as Tibet; and regions that are politically difficult, such as North Korea and Iran. We need to spread the Gospel to these people as soon as possible, but if we depend only on the frontline missionaries and continue to live a selfish life of faith, saying, It’s good here, while resting in the walls of the church, the great commission will never be completed on time.

Let’s restore the wildness of faith!

Now, all of us saints, it’s time to have the heart of the Father, and in order to save even one more soul around us, we should not hesitate to face any difficulties, hardships, and persecutions, as did the first-century Christians. They risked their lives and boldly lived the lives of witnesses. It is time to restore our faith and carry the Gospel to countless perishing souls of all ethnic groups.

Even though we live in the abundance of the Gospel that overflows like a flood, the ears of the Spirit are completely closed due
