About this ebook
To All;
Memoir to Lesedi is a journal of parental nuggets I learnt in my journey of raising Lesedi. It depicts how God, Yes, God Helped me raise my daughter as a single Mother. And in raising her freed me from shackles, I believe would not have been released otherwise. In the book I share biblical principles, that caused profound turning points for both Lesedi and I.
Carol Makgalemela
Carol Makgalemela is a single parent of a girl named Lesedi Makgalemela. In November of 2021 Carol started an Art studio with daughter Lesedi to provide leisure art for adults. The business is now, fully run by Lesedi and has transitioned into an ART Wellness business @ARTDELIGHTT). Carol started this business to create employment for her daughter, not wanting her daughter to end up like the many young south African talented children who were either unemployed or working as lackies through the dismal internship program, after graduating. Carol draws in her spare time so going this route of business was a natural progression (a childhood relived). Carol is a qualified Metallurgical engineer and a practicing Quality Management Systems Auditor. She has also worked as a consultant throughout her career, in training and guiding Executives on how to implement efficient systems using standards. She has volunteered as a mentor to young professionals and high school kids. It is this exposure that has formed the desire to share what ever knowledge Carol has learned over the years, with the hope of helping parents avoid the potholes she encountered. “We are here to raise ADULTS”-Pastor Bojan. “Because the best job I ever had has been to be Mother to Lesedi (MY HEART). A privilege and honor”-Carol Makgalemela

Memoir to Lesedi (A parental guide) - Carol Makgalemela
Prelude
Memoir to Lesedi
Dear Lesedi
I do not know how this book will go, but I feel compelled to pen down, our family journey. Well, Lesedi, you did tell me to write down my tips on parenting. I hope that you and my future grandchildren will use the nuggets I pen down, as a fast-track route through life. Yes, fast track because it took me almost 3 decades to come to a point where of the puzzle pieces fit together.
Therefore, I start this memoir (a parental guide) with no absolute idea how to construct my message but hoping that as I pen our lived truth, it will all come to me.
Perhaps let us start at the beginning of both of us. Well not the beginning more like the important bits.
I pray as I write this memoir both you and I will see God. But more importantly experience His love for us. I pray Lord Jesus that these nuggets will bless and show your love to the person reading both now and the future. That You, Lord Jesus will revel yourself to them. I also ask for wisdom to pen down the right words and that You, Lord will be revealed. That the testimony of our lives will touch the reader, and they see You, manifest.
Amen.
Chapter 1
Ihate the word forgiveness , because people tend to use it to either guilt you into denying your hurt feelings or manipulate you to act contrary to what you want.
Yet I found myself needing yours desperately, or should
