Introduction
God created all men from his image and after his likeness (Genesis 1:26–28). His intent is that we be a light to the world as pacesetters, pathfinders, and limit-breakers not to be hidden; that is why the Bible records that the whole world is waiting for the excellent manifestation of the children of God. Light cannot be hidden, as is God’s intent for believers (Matthew 5:14–16).
Having been created in God’s image, man did not evolve from the lower forms of life but was fashioned, as if by a chisel, to resemble and represent God on earth. We know from scripture that there is only one God and that we are fashioned after him (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5; Mark 12:32; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5).
Adam and Eve, the first man and woman who were created, committed sin and missed the mark of God’s holiness (Roman 3:23). Therefore, all men made after Adam and Eve are dead in their transgressions and sin, which earned man death because the wage of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Man can be reinstated to the original plan of God at the beginning through salvation, thereby enabling man to gain access to the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. To be a flaming fire, fellowship with the Holy Spirit is imperative and not negotiable.
