Mind of the Believer - Jacob J. Okwudiri
About the book
In this book, you will learn:
- The various components of the human mind.
- Their functions and inter relationship.
- The power and influence of the thoughts in the lives of men.
- The meaning of scriptural meditation.
- How to engage in the scriptural meditation.
- The part the word of God plays in effective meditation.
And lots more.
The mind is the store house of limitless potentials and possibilities. The new birth connects one with the mind of Christ. Such minds when engaged in active and productive use brings glory to the Lord God Almighty. The product of such mind is always in line with the original plan and purpose of God for humanity. If humanity will ever be liberated from pains and sorrows, the mind of the believer is the tool that will be used to accomplish just that. The mind of the believer is therefore the panacea to the numerous problems confronting mankind.
Incisive and in depth explanation of the word of God. The content also challenges the readers mind as to certain realities relating to God's word. My first work, 'Mind of the believer' is aimed at addressing a misnomer that God created man as a creature to be remote controlled from the celestial speed. On the contrary, the book explains that God created man in God's image and likeness. God is a spirit John 4:24, so He created man essentially a spirit being. Man has a soul (he is not a soul) and lives in the body. God is a thinking or thoughtful God for He said 'I know the thought I think towards you, thought of good and not evil'. Again, He said, your ways are not my ways neither your thought my thought.
Same way He gave man the mind with which to think and sort out life issues.
Going by the above, this book challenges the reader to put the mind into active and productive use in line with the word of God. By so doing, the reader will be able to discover secrets that will put him above life issues not just for himself but for humanity in general. This said, mind of the believer is therefore the panacea for the many ills confronting humanity for it is the mind that is filled with limitless potentials and possibilities. When put to proper use, results are inevitable.

INTRODUCTION
The Universe as we know it is filled with all forms of creatures visible and invisible.
All of these creatures which have found contentment in living within the universe all have different levels of manifestations. i.e., they all affect the universe in a given way.
From the unicellular (single cell) organisms to the mighty elephant in our forests, from the primitive wild animals to the most intelligent of all creatures i.e., MAN.
Yes man is the most intelligent of all creatures that inhabit the earth, for despite the intelligence possessed by so called spirit beings man still occupies an enviable position in the universe. Why"? Because God made it is.
At creation God took His time to create everything including man and all spirit beings, but at the end one would expect God and these spirit beings to come down and reign over all the mortal creatures. God did something to the contrary.
God decided to create man in His (God’s) image and likeness and gave him dominion over all that He has created. These include the spirits as well.
We can therefore say that man is at the top list of God’s creation. And for this reason, angels were also created to minister or serve man (Heirs of Salvation Heb.1:13-14).An this is despite the existence of even Satan and all his demons.
But man by an act of willful disobedience lost and transferred the dominion God granted to him to Satan the devil as he (man) bowed down to the tricks of the devil to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
But God did not close His eyes to the demise of man, rather, despite the punishment that came to man via curses from the Lord, God also promised a deliverer of mankind (who is Jesus the son of The Living God) that will come and undo all that man (First Adam) did in the garden.
This redeemer of mankind indeed came into this world to reveal to man all about his creator (For He was Himself God from the beginning), how to recover the lost dominion by walking on the path of the revealed truth. And all these took place some two thousand years ago.
The question one may want to ask is; why is God so much interested in man? What is man to God?
If you most know, God created man for His Glory. Man was not created for any other purpose but that he should live his life enjoying all the beauties of it which God foreordained for man’s glory and in return worship Him as God by returning all the Glory back to Him.
Also man is the answer of God’s hunger for sons with whom He (God) wants to fellowship.
Another reason why God is interested in man is because God has poured Himself out in man i.e., God
