Kevin Harper

Kevin Harper's life has been nothing short of diverse. His background spans an impressive array of experiences, from serving as an officer in the British Army Medical Corps to assuming various pastoral and administrative roles within the Anglican Church. His talents as a cathedral organist are as notable as his adventurous spirit, which saw him sail across the Atlantic. In the realm of civic service, he was the founding Chair of an LGBTI+ television company and a long-term vice-chair of a significant palliative care organisation.   Currently, Kevin presides as the chairman of two non-profit organisations and is the president of a major annual festival. He  also directs a secular choral group and continues to work part-time in the health sector. In 2019, his contributions were recognised when he was named Moorabool's Citizen of the Year. He used this platform to unite local communities for 'Pink up Ballan', a month-long fundraising event benefiting breast care nurses across Australia. Most recently, Kevin has been invited to lend his support to an initiative aimed at establishing support groups for gay men battling prostate cancer in rural areas. His latest book reflects this rich tapestry of experiences and his unwavering commitment to community service.
