CHAPTER ONE : NEW BEGINNINGS

An Unlikely Friendship

The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the bustling city of Crestwood. Leaves painted the sidewalks in shades of red and orange, dancing with the breeze that welcomed the promise of autumn. Amidst the backdrop of this picturesque scene, a young man named Alex Thompson stood at the threshold of a new chapter in his life.

With a mop of chestnut hair that seemed to catch the sunlight just right, Alex's hazel eyes gleamed with a curious intensity. At six feet tall, he had an understated presence that commanded attention without demanding it. His face bore the traces of boyhood yet held the burgeoning maturity of a young adult ready to embrace the world.

Alex's heart raced with a mix of excitement and trepidation as he gazed up at the towering buildings of Crestwood University. His backpack hung comfortably over his shoulder, laden with textbooks and notebooks eagerly waiting to be filled with knowledge. Navigating the maze of pathways, Alex found himself at the doorstep of his new home, a cozy dorm room that would be his sanctuary for the next four years.
