About this ebook

Do you like holidays? All over the world people have special days that they enjoy celebrating. There are so many wonderful days. Which is your favorite?

The most amazing and special day of all is Eastermas.

Did you say that you never heard of Eastermas? That's not surprising because most people think of it as two separate holidays, and they call them Easter and Christmas. However, they really do go together.

Eastermas is the most important part of the plan that God made before the creation of the world--a plan to save His people from the problem of sin.

God knew even before He created the world and everything in it that Adam and Eve would sin. It didn't surprise Him, and He had a plan already made. That plan is what Eastermas is all about.

Are you getting interested to learn more about Eastermas? It will take some brain stretching to understand, but that is a good thing and not at all painful.

    About the Author

    Thank-You

I praise and thank the Lord Jesus, who has blessed me with the joy of writing this book. Next, I thank God for my wonderful family, who helped and supported me during a big move and an extreme lifestyle change while in the middle of writing this book. I would never have been able to do it without each one of you. I love you all. Finally, I thank God for giving me a wonderful new friend named Ruth. She has helped me make a successful adjustment to being in assisted living. She calms me down and gives me perspective on my new life. She makes me laugh. She shares my faith and prays with me and for me. And she has become the greatest cheerleader for my books. For all these reasons and more, I lovingly dedicate this book to my dear friend Ruth Hannold.

We have so much joy before our God because of you, and we thank him for you. We cannot thank him enough for all the joy we feel.

    Chapter 1

    Calendars

Hi. Do you like to read? I love reading. I just spent the last hour reading my new calendar. Reading a calendar may seem a bit strange and maybe even boring. After you have read January 1, January 2, January 3, January 4, it is not very exciting, at least not with a regular calendar.

However, my new calendar is definitely not regular. It is a calendar of special days—a whole year of 365 special days.

The special days that we all know and celebrate are there, but then there are others you may not know about. I didn't.

For example, did you know that my calendar includes the following days?

National Dress Up Your Pet Day

National Drop Everything and Read Day (that's for me!)

National Be Late for Something Day

    National Coloring Book Day

National Hug a Bear Day (I hope that means teddy bears because real live bears are not so huggable.)

I think I would enjoy celebrating some of the days.

There are lots and lots of food days. I would especially like the following:

    Popcorn Day

    Chocolate Cake Day

    Cheese Lovers Day

    Pepperoni Pizza Day

I am not so sure about celebrating some of these feast days, like the following:

    National Catfish Day

    Garlic Day

    Drink Green Juice Day

And I know I am definitely not going to celebrate National Raisin Day. Sorry, but I just don't like raisins.

Many of the special days are about people. We already know about Mother's Day and Father's Day, but my calendar says there are also the following:

    Aunts and Uncles' Day

    World Teacher's Day

    International Firefighters Day

You will really want to remember to celebrate on November 20, which is International Children's Day.

Some of the days are about doing something special. They include the following:

    National Hugging Day

    Share a Smile Day

Take a Walk in the Park Day

International Surfing Day (not very popular in desert areas)

Pretend to Be a Time Traveler Day

National Clean Off Your Desk Day (I need to celebrate that one more than once each year)

    American Touch Tag Day

Those sound like fun, but I think I will skip National Pass Gas Day.

I've always liked going to school. I think school is very important, but maybe just once each year, it would be all right to celebrate Stay Home from School Because You Are Well Day.

By now, you are probably wondering why I spent so much time reading my new calendar when it isn't National Read Your Calendar Day. It's because I was looking for the most important special day of all. For me, the most important holiday of all is Eastermas.

You've never heard of Eastermas? Well, if you keep reading, you are going to hear a lot about it because this book is all about Eastermas and why we all need to celebrate it.

Curious to find out more? Keep reading.

    Chapter 2

    The Plan Begins

Happy, Merry Eastermas to all of you.

By now, if you are smart (and I know you are), you may have figured out that Eastermas is the name I made up for my favorite holiday. It is Easter and Christmas put together.

What? You say I can't put them together as one holiday because they are on two different days and are at two different times of the year.

Those things are true, but I say they definitely do go together. In fact, you can't have one without the other.

We need both of them because they are both parts of a very special plan. It is a plan that was
