About this ebook
As we grow and develop in life, things never turn out how we want or expect them to, regardless of how much money, family, or friends we have. We all suffer from childhood traumas in some shape, form, or fashion. We use hate, self-pity, and self-aid to suppress feelings in our mental state and emotions in our physical state. We use our free will to make decisions based off the desires of our heart, mind, and body but never our spirit and soul.
Our earthly desires cause us to be blind to the permanent pain and damage because we are so consumed with the temporary pleasures that seem to fill our empty spirits and souls. We question God, our self-worth, and our purpose because in the moment of trials and tribulations, we feel alone and abandoned. I'm here to tell you that you are not alone and that God is working in your favor, regardless of the infliction of pain that you endure.
It's always the things you can't see that do the most work in your life, be it negative or positive. In this book, you will read about my walk in life and the earthly desires I chose to fill me and how accepting Christ into my life mentally, physically, and emotionally changed the desires of my heart and opened my eyes to the hands that were always holding mine, every step of the way.

Acknowledgments
This book was inspired by my son, Kendrick Marlow; the passing of my late brother, Monte Eugene Harris; and my heavenly Father's commitment to his vision and purpose for my life. I would have never thought of this book or finished it if it weren't for them.
Introduction
My infliction of pain became my medicine, and I pray that all of my readers suffering from abandonment issues, low self-esteem, abuse, faith problems, drugs, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and any other strongholds realize that you are not alone and that when you accept Christ Jesus in your heart as your Savior, he will not only supply all your needs but hold your hand and administer your medicine.
When I look back over my life and realize what all God has done for me, I can only praise him, and I will forever be humble before him.
Chapter 1
Progression
As the raindrops fell slowly on the red, thin umbrella, and the big blue clouds came together to create the perfect shade, Kiya reached down, only to notice DeAngelo down on the ground. His black silky hair was glistening from the cold drops of rain, his face showing the biggest smile, his eyes so bold, so brown, so beautiful. His lips were pink, juicy, and slowly moving to form words. His arms were reaching out, and behind him, he slowly revealed a smooth, square box. He fumbled on his knees, almost losing his balance due to the puddle of water rising. Kiya's eyes began to feel heavy. Everything started to spin, the palms of her hands began to sweat, and hot streaks of what felt like rain began to fall from her eyes. DeAngelo did not hesitate. He said, Kiya, I love you with everything in me. I love the air you breathe. I love you to the moon and back, and I will not continue life without us joined under God. I want to wake up to you every day, lie down with you every night. I want you to be the mother of all my children, my best friend, my sour patch, my forever.
As he opens the box, Kiya bends down to join DeAngelo. Her thin hands reach out to wipe his tears. DeAngelo looks into Kiya's beautiful brown eyes, sliding her long black braid behind her ear. He grabs her hand and slides the platinum-silver princess cut ring on her finger, and he says, Kiya, will you marry me?
Kiya looks down and begins to smile from ear to ear, showing her beautiful white teeth. Her right dimple dances with joy while she's shouting, Yes! Yes! Yes!
But Kiya hasn't always been ecstatic. Her tears weren't always from happiness. Her smile rarely reached ear to ear, and every day was a different hurdle. Kiya was very beautiful. She had long, black, thick hair and a nice petite shape. Her lips were perfectly shaped with a small hint of pink. Her eyes were light brown, and her face glowed with three birthmarks that made
