Beginning this adventure of Walking with Jesus in these different booklets is truly a place we never thought we would be. Our parents and church families have been a blessing as we have grown to know God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in our lives and our own family.
We want to thank Jonah Sanders for his encouragement during the process of getting this booklet ready to publish. Jonah is an amazing mentor and helper when it comes to stepping outside your comfort level. His ideas and guidance have made this step in our lives possible.
AUTHORS NOTE
Courage. Courage! Courage? We have many ways to think about courage as we live our lives day to day, but the courage of the Bible and the courage that God provides us with are far beyond what we could think or dream of on our own. This spiritual courage can only be provided by a God who loves us so much that He would give us His courage at exactly the right time to take care of our situations.
In 2005 when I started full-time on a church staff as the Minister of Worship Arts I was scared.
Not just nervous, scared. There were so many people in the church and so many cogs in the wheel of the Worship Arts ministry that I did not know where to begin, but God. A very sweet friend pointed me in the direction of the book of Joshua in the Old Testament. Joshua was following a winner – Moses. Moses has died and Joshua is given the leadership position that Moses had. He is scared and God says, Be strong and courageous. As I was with Moses so I will be with you. Be strong and very courageous.
Joshua 1:1-9 (NIV)
The Christian Principles covered in this booklet are all so important to understand, but if we begin with courage to step out and follow God wherever He leads we will be on the road to a full and sweet life with
