Chapter SeparatorSarandiel
As an angel, it was my duty to watch over the humans and ensure their safety. I had been flying over a small village when I saw him sitting under a tree, reading a book. His face was illuminated by the sun, and there was a sense of peace and serenity around him. I felt drawn to him, and I flew down to get a closer look.
Hello,
I said, hovering above him. What are you reading?
He looked up at me, surprised. Oh, hello. It’s a book about the stars and the constellations. I find it fascinating.
I smiled at him. I love the stars too. They remind me of home.
Home?
he repeated, curiously.
I hesitated, wondering if I should reveal my true identity as an angel. But something about him made me feel comfortable, and I decided to take a chance.
I’m not from around here,
I said. I’m an angel.
His eyes widened in amazement. An angel? I’ve never met one before.
We talked for hours about our interests and beliefs. I was drawn to his kindness, intelligence, and his love for life. I felt a sense of longing that I had never felt before, but I knew it was wrong for an angel to fall in love with a human.
As the sun began to set, I realized I had spent the entire day with him. I had never spent so much time with a human before, and I knew that my fellow angels would not approve.
I have to go,
I said, reluctantly. It’s getting late, and I need to return to heaven.
He looked disappointed. Will I see you again?
I hesitated, unsure of how to answer. I don’t know,
I said finally. But I hope so.
As I flew back to heaven, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. My heart was filled with a sense of longing that I had never felt before. I knew it was wrong for an angel to fall in love with a human, but I couldn’t help the way I felt.
Over the next few weeks, I found myself drawn to him more and more. I would watch him from afar, never daring to reveal my true identity. But I knew I had to be careful. The other angels were suspicious of my behavior, and I couldn’t risk being caught.
One day, as I was watching him, he looked up at the sky and smiled.
I wish I could see the stars up close,
he said wistfully.
I knew I had to do something. I flew down to him and said, I can show you the stars.
His eyes lit up. Really? How?
Close your eyes,
I said. And hold on to me.
He did as I asked, and together, we flew up into the sky, higher and higher, until we were surrounded by the stars.
His eyes were wide with wonder. This is incredible,
he said.
I smiled at him, feeling a sense of joy that I had never experienced before. It was as if, for a moment, all of the rules and obligations that came with being an angel had faded away.
As we descended back to earth, I knew that I was playing with fire. My feelings for him were growing stronger every day, and I knew that I was risking everything by spending time with him, a human. But my heart had already made its choice, and I couldn’t help but wonder what the future held for me and the man I had come to love.

Icouldn’t stop thinking about the angel I had met. She was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen, and her presence had left me feeling both exhilarated and nervous. I had never felt this way about anyone before, and I found myself wondering about her constantly.
As the days passed, I couldn’t shake the memory of
