About this ebook
In this first installment, Laura Granada bares who she is for all to see. She produces a bilingual journey, a reflection of her own spirit, and takes us through a pronouncement of how she views the world through raw lenses without ever losing her appeal to a higher frequency. To live is to love and suffer. It's a beautiful irony.
- Rylee Shelton

COMING HOME
Down the sunlight across the pavement
the leaves of misfortune have fallen out of deserted trees.
There is no second thought,
no pretense,
no deception,
wherever you may go
I will follow, in peace.
As the days of sun surrender
and the glimpses of winter melt in despair
you hold my hand along the steps of pain
and there’s courage and wisdom in making our way,
coming home to the ancient, to the new, to the rain.
How far we have come
should never be the question
in a quest for the meaning
of the instants of pure stillness,
the eyes who behold
true loving presence
are the heirs of a life beyond death,
old age and illness.
Have you guessed what I wished for
on a Tuesday of delight?
Just your breath,
just this touch
and the possibility of light.

REGRESANDO A CASA
Solo tu aliento,
solo tu tacto
y la posibilidad de la luz.

MY COMPANION
You and I knew the ropes
before the beginning of times
kindred spirits reunited,
congregated, intertwined
As the eyes and the silences
are your favorite song,
as the whispers and being childish
are the seasoning of choice
We understand each other’s nightmares,
and the boredom and the pain,
we create places of wonder
where no memory decays
For this precious little awe,
as a struggling little sprout,
is my refuge, is my comfort,
is my light within the crowd
my anchor to reality and suffering,
to isolation and distress,
knowing how to bring me back
to the miracle of breath
by just being, by just looking
with a gaze that never ends
not in here,
