About this ebook
Anchored in God! The Light of Hope
Within this book, we will explore unique gifts, both natural and spiritual, and how they determine where we fit in the Body of Christ. We will also master the aspects of our unique personality and look at behavior analysis from a biblical perspective. We will take a hard look at the character flaws and sins in our lives that are potentially blocking the effective use of our God-given gifts. I am going to be transparent about my personal struggle with faith and overcoming my addiction to pornography.
How?
I will primarily address identifying our spiritual gifts and purpose, and the steps of growing in spiritual maturity to Magnify God. However, I also address the areas that might be blocking us from using our gifts -struggles with relationships or parenting or even worse addictions like pornography-because until we are released from these strongholds, we cannot use our gifts effectively! We must learn to release to receive
I designed this book to:
Learn how to raise children in a Christ-centered way.
Learn Biblical Behavior Techniques
Learn about distinct personalities and how each type can affect our daily interactions with others.
Learn about how pornography is invading the church and the need for spiritual intervention and spiritual warfare.
When we combine behavioral, spiritual, and each person's unique personality; we are better able to engage in positive interactions and with less confrontation. We will be able to ultimately live a true Christ-centered life and serve God in the way He created us.

Anchored in God - Ronald Fahrenholz
Naked and Afraid
Movies like The Hunger Games
often have a lot to say about the actual nature of man when he feels abandoned or separated from God. In situations where we have to struggle for survival either against other malicious humans or animals and the elements, we find ourselves reduced to our basic instincts. Things like clothing and hygiene pale in comparison to more critical needs like food, safety, and warmth. For example, if you are about to fall off a cliff and need some sort of rope to hang on, in the absence of some twine, you wouldn’t mind using your last piece of clothing to hang on for dear life even if a crowd were to be watching your naked body. Also, after being famished for say five days, you wouldn’t mind flaying a lizard or rabbit and eating it up, entrails and all. Finally, in situations where you find yourself in danger of severe injury or even death, you would lose all sense of dignity just to stay safe and alive.
What do all of these scenarios teach us? On a basic level, humans are NAKED and AFRAID. This fact may blind us in our everyday lives because of our comfort and our ability to live ‘normal lives,’ but when extreme situations occur, they bring out our fear and base animalism, and just like Adam and Eve realized in the Garden of Eden, we say to ourselves I am naked. The same thing occurs spiritually, and we are also naked and afraid as far as the spiritual man is concerned. On some occasions, the occurrence of the tragedy only serves to show our nakedness and fear. Sometimes it takes a disaster for us to realize how inadequate, we are and drives us back to depending on God for sustenance and support.
The good news is that we don’t have to wait for a tragedy to strike before turning to God. That is what this e-book is all about. We will be discussing various issues like Spiritual gifts, among others to help us to draw closer to God and lean on him to cover our nakedness and assuage our fears.
And the Earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep...
Darkness can be pretty scary and alarming. Just like the bible described above in the first chapter of Genesis, darkness often comes with a feeling of emptiness and disorientation and the effect that sin has on the life of humans. A person living in sin is also living in spiritual darkness, and this reflects on the life of such an individual, resulting in depression, confusion, and a general lack of purpose in life.
And God said let there be light...
All you need to do to remove the darkness is by discovering a source of light; that was how God fixed the darkness at the beginning of creation. And you know what? The solution to darkness has not changed. It is still light. The remedy for sin (spiritual darkness) is to focus on God (the source of light) and turn to him in
