As the meaning of the words sunk in, Jeb once again tried to rise --- but this time the blow from Sayacha’s club was a fatal one. Looking at his watching brother-in-law, Sayacha dropped the burning branch on the dead body at his feet. Jeb’s now sightless eyes reflected back the growing flames that quickly engulfed his body.
Stepping back from the heat, Blue Shirt gripped the other man’s arm. “No longer will you be called Sayacha Yalow --- though you will always be my ‘White Brother’. Now you are ‘Tayanno Nay Saw’ --- ‘Burner of Souls’
The man that had been Sayacha nodded agreement, then together the two Absaroka slipped silently away into the night.
