About this ebook

The Secretary was a twenty something, long legged attractive woman whose naivety would get the better of her. She was exceptionally loyal to her bosses and her short-hand expertise enabled her to get the top jobs.

Her personal life was all but a disaster, with two marriages under her belt and numerous lovers she became a loner and trusted no-one. She was articulate, well mannered and when necessary opinionated, but most of the time kept her mouth shut. Behind closed doors she swore like a squaddie and could be as uncouth as the next man.

She was able to ingratiate herself with the higher echelons of society as well as the underworld. She learned the hard way. She assumed men loved her for being 'her'. She was wrong they just wanted to sleep with her. Men became obsessed and paranoid about her, they wanted to know what she knew, but her loyalty to bosses was to keep secrets.

Known by her colleagues as a 'Money Penny' she started to use her life experience to her advantage. She became an expert at extracting information from people she was asked to keep an eye on and pass any necessary intelligence onto her bosses (some bad, some good and some indifferent)! Her rifle skills were excellent and there were times she wished she had a licence to kill!

She still uses her short-hand, smokes forty cigarettes a day and her ally is her swiss army pen knife.

    The Secretary – #001

She started off her secretarial life innocently, naïvely, and saw everything through rose-tinted spectacles. The reality, however, was somewhat different. Her employers, husbands, lovers and friends (or lack of) made her who she is today. Her loyalty to bosses was paramount, but her personal life was a disaster!

She was an excellent typist, and always slept with one ear open and both eyes closed. She would take in everything she heard and analysed everything she was told. She had an inherent vulnerability due to her upbringing. Men were obsessed about her (often unnoticed due to her naïvety). Men used psychology to get the better of her as they felt constantly threatened, never quite knowing what she was thinking (for the contents of this book, the reason why they felt threatened was she had nothing to hide). Perhaps fraudsters, bandits, philanderers, extremists, etc. will always be wary of a woman they cannot find anything negative/humiliating/useful about and therefore put her under their ‘threat’ label. Her DNA was to take the moral high ground – in fact, still to this day ‘killing with kindness’ is the most powerful mantra of all time, although if she was fortunate enough to have a licence to kill, she would quite willingly use it!

Her gut had always been right, however mistakes (there were too many to mention) had been made purely by her head not listening to her heart (sound familiar?). Ex- husbands wanted to destroy her, in fact having her sectioned would have been the icing on the cake (family members would have liked this too). Her questioning and wanting answers to questions made her nothing but a ‘thorn in their sides’. Boyfriends had wanted to
