Innocents Payback

A lot of research went into this novel and a lot of tears were shed by the people that I interviewed.
It is more prominent than I first thought and as some of my proof readers found out as well.
Due to the nature of the story I give you notice that more than five of my proof readers cried while reading the first eight chapters alone.

Chapter One

HE SAT BACK in his big black leather easy chair, in the comfort of his own surrounding’s, away from the political world that he usually is involved with in central London, set in the outskirt’s of Stratford Upon Avon in two acre’s of land with It’s own swimming pool and vegetable patch, he was happy with his life style, very well off, and no money worry’s.

In the dimly lit room surrounded by his computer’s and tower driver’s staring at the image’s on the screen’s in front of him he was viewing picture’s that his associate’s had down loaded to him, he felt safe that no one could see what he was looking at, as deep down he knew child porn was wrong but he could not stop himself, it had become an addiction, he had done it for year’s, without ever getting caught, whether his friend’s sorted out scandal or he paid himself to have the problem dealt with.

He took his throbbing member from out of his pant’s and started to please himself, he just could not help himself, if ever his wife found out he knew that a divorce would be imminent and it would be very, very costly.

The servant’s had gone to bed as it was well past midnight, his wife was out again at some kind of fund raising event as she called it, but deep down he knew she was off to meet her young lover again as the age difference of twenty year’s was taking it’s toll on her.

It meant nothing to him as he was quite happy with what he had.

He started to get to the faster strokes of his actions while watching the screen’s in front of him, when he became aware of a shadow that blocked out the lamp to his left.

It had an immediate action as he lost his erection thinking that his wife had come back early and that she had caught him literally with his pant’s down.

It was not the case.

A voice, Remember me? she said?

He spun round still with his member in his hand, a look of surprise on his face.

This is payback not just for me, but all my adopted family and you know what it’s for she stated, and with that she then levelled her 22.revolver at his head and pulled the trigger. Goodbye arse hole she muttered he recoiled with the bullet firmly placed in the middle of his head, after a few spasms he moved no more and she left the room smiling to herself.

Chapter two

WHY

SHE HAD NIGHTMARE’S every night, caused by the abusers of her past, likewise so did her adopted sister, they grew up in care homes together from the ages of six, both had always felt unwanted and the bond between them was so strong no one would ever be able to break it.

Born in the early 1960’s it was taboo for an unmarried youngster to have a child so as soon as possible she was placed into the local care system by her grandparent’s as were any child in that situation.

That was were she met Derry-Anne and the bond was formed.

They grew up as sisters, did every thing together and shared every good and bad moment regardless of outcome, they were inseparable.

They got adopted within two weeks of each other at the age of ten and eleven by the same family who to all the world around them seemed perfect.

Within a week of sharing a bedroom they both found out that the ‘Daddy’ was not’ the perfect person that he was supposed to be.

The adopted mother must of know but turned a blind eye to it all.

It started with goodnight story’s that led to being tucked in, then by long kisses and hugs, the next stage was touching and feeling.

They were both naïve so did not know the difference, but to defend each other they never said a word.

This went on for years until they both left home at sixteen.

They went there own ways for a while but both signed up for active service, Derry-anne was now known as derry-anne Sheldon, whilst joyce had become joyce flag, where again they met and served with the best around for over three years, they became experts at unarmed combat and weapons techniques, no one messed with them and they both realised what had happened to themselves in the past and vowed to do something about it.

They swore together that they would always defend themselves and stop what happened to them ever happening to anyone else ever again if possible including what happens to boys which amazed them that it could.

They also met Tamara Crisp who like them had been adopted and abused, the bond between the three was tight.

Chapter three

THE PHONE WENT off, Luke stirred, he looked at the clock, 3.00 am in the morning, what now? He thought to himself, and with that he picked it up, ‘Hello’ he barked.

It was his chief constable Daniel Christopher, ‘I WANT YOU DOWN AT THE STATION PRONTO’ he shouted back at luke, then he hung up.

Luke got up and dressed, then lit his first fag of the day a habit that he should of given up a long time ago, it was taking it’s toll and his breathing suffered because of it.

When he was younger luke shaun was one of the best boxers the navy ever had, he did nine years of active service before leaving to join the police force where he proved to be good at solving crime and before long he had become an Inspector in the serious crime squad.

He arrived at the station at 3.30 am. And went straight to the chiefs office, he knocked the door and waited for an answer, but did not get one.

A young trainee p.c. approached him, they are in the main boardroom waiting for you luke, she said, you had better hurry up as you’re the last to arrive.

‘They’? he thought to himself, whats going on?, he headed off post haste to the boardroom.

He knocked and entered, sat round the table was Daniel Christopher the chief inspector, Tony Brush, head of government affairs with his minder/chauffer know only as Cleaver,

And next to him sat Kay Painter Head of MI5.

‘Sit down luke’ said kay I would like you to read this file, with that she handed him a red folder, and written on the front were the words TOP SECRET.

He sat, opened it and perused the contents, he put the files back into the folder and handed them back to kay.

She opened the briefing, ‘I want you to pick ANY member of staff that you deem fit to work with you on this case and
