About this ebook

Testimonies and miracles in my life; displaying God’s tender love.

This is how I met the Lord and He baptized me with His Spirit. After that, I was in an impossible situation. The Lord sent me a prayer partner, with a prophetic gift, to help me handle my situation. After a year, I was fine and He then turned us into a team to help people who were desperate. We prayed together for 18 years. God said that we must get a book and pen, and write everything down. He sent us wonderful messages. I included some of them in here. My aim is to glorify God and His greatness in this book.

    Testimonies - Anna De Wet

    Chapter 1:

The Starting Point Of My Relationship With Jesus Christ

Here follows what can be considered as the starting-point of my relationship with Jesus Christ. I was a churchgoer since I was a little girl. Since I was little, I was taught that I was saved and that one day I will go to heaven. I was taught nothing about being reborn or having a personal relationship with the Most High, of these two things I knew nothing. As teacher and later on in my life as businesswoman, I was highly successful and made a lot of money.

One day my husband and I decided to visit Hong Kong as a holiday destination. How I managed to end up inside the following place, I honestly do not know, however before I even knew it I found myself inside a Buddhist Temple. Inside the temple I saw a woman who was seated and busy praying. I felt so sorry for her that she was praying to the wrong god. I went home and fell into a depression. I literally told everyone that before I left for Hong Kong, I was a happy person. Even though I told everyone that, I, myself, did not make or see the connection. One day in June 1984, my sister-in-law gave me a book titled ‘Appointment in Jerusalem’ written by Lydia Prince. This book had an intense impact on me, it grabbed me, and I developed a deep-rooted longing for everything that happened to her, and how she met with Christ, the encounter she experienced with Him, I longed for a similar encounter.

It was then that I realised I climbed the wrong wall and even though I reached the top, I was still feeling depressed. In my state of depression, I picked up the Bible and started reading in –

²⁸Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

    ~ Matthew 11:28

I asked, Lord, how? He then led me to –

¹⁸Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

    ~ Isaiah 1:18

I continued reading in Psalms –

¹²As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

    ~ Psalm 103:12

I took the Bible and opened it at –

²But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.

    ~ Isaiah 59:2

Immediately I started confessing my sins one by one. After my confession I went back to reread –

¹⁸Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

    ~ Isaiah 1:18

A Christian believer told me that a binding was placed on my life when I entered the Buddhist Temple. A child of God does not belong there. He then prayed for me. The next step was that I had to confess my sins. I took pen and paper and for three weeks continuously I wrote down all the sins that I committed in my life - (those sins I could recall). I drew a line through all those sins and declared: The blood of Jesus Christ is washing me clean; He is cleansing me from all sins. Due to the fact that I earned (made) a lot of money, I positioned myself as the head of our household and acted like the head of our household. The man is the head of the household, not the boss, he has the final say. The priorities ought to be: God – first; husband – second and children – third. After I confessed that particular sin, all my actions changed and my whole life fell into place – order was restored in my life. This is called the godly order. (I am discussing this in-depth in a separate chapter because this is very important).

Secondly, I confessed all the sins that I could think of as well as all the sins the Holy Spirit revealed to me. It does not matter what you think of your husband or even what he does, he is the head of the household and as such you need to pay him the necessary respect. Maybe you think that he does not deserve it? Here is where everything starts. We as wives need to know this and have to apply it. Remember what Abraham did to Sarah, how he treated her as his sister and not his wife, because he was afraid of what the king could do to him, therefore he gave Sarah to the king to be one of his concubines, even so, Sarah still honoured Abraham as her husband. We read in the New Testament in –

⁶as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.

    ~ 1 Peter 3:6

The most important of all is: Forgiveness. He led me to Matthew 18:21-35 The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant (Please read this parable). The Holy Spirit also led me to read –

¹⁴For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

¹⁵But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

    ~ Matthew 6:14-15

Who of us can afford this?!

²³Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,

²⁴leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

    ~ Matthew 5:23-24

Throughout the Old Testament Christ is a shadow silhouette or shadowgraph. He can be observed in (on) nearly every page, and Christ fills the New Testament.

    Chapter 2:

    I Climbed The Wrong Wall

I was a worldly Christian – attended church regularly, I even played the piano in the small group where my husband was the leader. However, I was still so bound with spiritual chains and so much in the world. I made a lot of money and drove around in a Porsche.

It was during this time period in my life that I started to read the book Afspraak in Jerusalem – Appointment in Jerusalem." After I completed reading this book, someone else came and placed the book Vryheid om te kies, Freedom to choose in my hand. Reading this book, I realised that my choices are (were) wrong and therefore I am (was) climbing the wrong wall. Nineteen years after I read Afspraak in Jerusalem, Appointment in Jerusalem," the Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me to read this book again and I then I must be on the lookout to
