Preface
Indigenous knowledge, which is the knowledge and skills passed down from generation to generation by traditional communities, is a critical resource that has been harnessed for centuries by many African societies to sustain their livelihoods and enhance their development. Despite the value of indigenous knowledge, it has not always been fully recognized and integrated into modern-day knowledge management practices.
As a knowledge management professional, I have witnessed firsthand the missed opportunities that come with not integrating indigenous knowledge into our work. The power of indigenous knowledge lies in its potential to transform and enrich our understanding of the world and our ability to create solutions to complex problems.
