    Fat Jesus - Aaron Abilene

Fat Jesus pushed open the heavy oak doors of Holy Trinity Church, a sanctuary where he had always found solace. Dim sunlight filtered through the stained glass windows, casting multicolored shadows over the worn pews.

Thank you, Lord, he murmured, rubbing his lower back as a dull ache from a long day at the diner throbbed through him. All I need is some quiet time in Your presence.

But as Fat Jesus slowly made his way down the aisle, a low rumble interrupted his thoughts. The unexpected sound reverberated through the church, and he furrowed his brow, wondering what divine intervention could be causing such a disturbance.

Looks like my quiet chat with God will have to wait, Fat Jesus muttered to himself, adjusting his name tag and feeling the weight of it tug on his chest. He sighed and moved toward the door, curiosity getting the better of him.

As he stepped outside, Fat Jesus's eyes widened at the sight before him: a gleaming black motorcycle rolling to a stop in front of the church. The rider, clad in a leather jacket, swung her leg over the bike and removed her helmet, revealing a cascade of red hair framing a face full of determination.

Wha... Sister Abigail? Fat Jesus stammered, unable to reconcile the image of the nun he knew with this new, fierce vision. He couldn't help but stare as she strode purposefully towards him, the setting sun casting an almost heavenly glow around her.

Evening, Fat Jesus, Sister Abigail greeted him with a grin, her leather jacket creaking as she stretched her arms above her head. I didn't expect to see you here.

Um... I just finished my shift and needed some peace. Fat Jesus shifted his weight from one foot to another, not sure how to process the unusual encounter. But, uh, what are you doing here? And on a motorcycle, no less?

Sometimes even a woman of God needs some fresh air and an adrenaline rush. Her eyes sparkled mischievously. Besides, it's important to remember that faith isn't just about sitting in pews and praying.

Fat Jesus blinked, taking in her words and the way Sister Abigail carried herself with such confidence. He couldn't help but feel drawn to her and her unconventional appearance, sensing there was more to her story than met the eye.

Maybe I could use some of that excitement in my life, he mused aloud, feeling a strange new energy stirring within him. As Sister Abigail approached the church doors, Fat Jesus found himself following along, eager to see where this unexpected encounter would lead.

    ––––––––

Hey, Sister Abigail? Fat Jesus asked hesitantly, as they entered the dimly lit church together. I hope you don't mind me asking, but... how did a nun like you end up on a motorcycle and looking so... badass?

Sister Abigail chuckled at his choice of words, her laughter echoing through the empty church. Well, Fat Jesus, I wasn't always a nun. You could say I had a bit of a... colorful past.

Colorful? How so? He couldn't hide his curiosity any longer. The image of a rebellious Sister Abigail intrigued him.

Before I found my faith, I was a martial arts expert, she explained, her voice taking on a more serious tone. I traveled the world, competing in tournaments and teaching others. But my life took a dark turn when I got involved with some bad people.

Fat Jesus's eyes widened, captivated by her story. He never would have guessed that this soft-spoken nun had such an unexpected background.

During one particular competition, I witnessed a terrible act of violence, Sister Abigail continued, her expression somber. It shook me to my core and made me rethink everything I thought I knew about myself and the world.

Is that when you turned to religion? Fat Jesus asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Indeed. I sought solace and guidance in the church, and eventually, I took my vows and became a nun. She smiled gently, a hint of sadness in her eyes. But I never completely left my past behind. I still practice martial arts and use my skills to help others when I can.

Fat Jesus nodded, feeling a newfound respect for Sister Abigail. He realized that beneath her calm exterior and religious devotion was a woman who had faced adversity and come out stronger for it. And somehow, he felt inspired by her journey.

    ––––––––

Your story is amazing, Sister Abigail, Fat Jesus said, his gaze fixed on the floor as he tried to push past his insecurities. I've always struggled with self-confidence, you know? I work at the diner, and I try to help out in the community, but sometimes I feel like I'm not making much of a difference.

He looked up at her, searching her eyes for guidance. I just wish I could do more, like you.

Sister Abigail studied him for a moment, her eyes thoughtful. You have a good heart, Fat Jesus, she said softly. And I can see the potential within you. She paused, considering her next words carefully. If you're serious about wanting to make a difference, I can teach you what I know. Martial arts and self-defense. It would give you the confidence and strength you need to protect yourself and others.

Fat Jesus blinked in surprise, taken aback by her offer. Could he really learn from someone as skilled and experienced as Sister Abigail? He felt an odd mix of excitement and fear at the prospect.

Are... Are you sure? he asked hesitantly. I mean, I don't know if I'd be any good at it.

Everyone starts somewhere, she replied, her voice firm yet gentle. The important thing is that you're willing to try and to learn. And I believe you have what it takes to become stronger, both physically and mentally.

Fat Jesus's heart raced as he contemplated her words. Sister Abigail's faith in him was both humbling and empowering. Could he truly tap into his potential and make a difference in the world, just as she had done? The thought was thrilling, but also daunting.

Thank you, Sister Abigail, Fat Jesus managed to say, his voice thick with emotion. I'll give it my all.

Good, she said with a determined nod. We'll start your training soon. Remember, discipline and focus will be the keys to your success.

As Fat Jesus listened to Sister Abigail's words, he felt a newfound sense of purpose welling up inside him. With her guidance and his own determination, perhaps he could become the person he'd always wanted to be – someone who could truly make a difference in the world.

    ––––––––

Fat Jesus hesitated, the weight of his insecurities and doubts suddenly pressing down on him. He stared at the worn wooden floor of the church, unable to meet Sister Abigail's eyes. I'm not sure if I have the strength or courage to fight crime and face the criminal organization, he admitted quietly, his words barely more than a whisper.

Sister Abigail paused, studying Fat Jesus with a thoughtful expression. She appeared to be considering her next words carefully before speaking. You know, Fat Jesus, she began, I wasn't always as confident and strong as you see me now.

Fat Jesus looked up at her, curiosity piqued. He could hardly imagine the motorcycle-riding, martial arts expert nun as anything but the fearless woman who stood before him now.

Before I found my faith and dedicated myself to this life, Sister Abigail continued, I faced many challenges and fears. There was a time when I doubted myself, too, just like you are now. She took a deep breath, her eyes distant as she recalled her past. But then, during a particularly dark moment in my life, I experienced something that changed everything for me.

Wh-what happened? Fat Jesus asked, leaning forward slightly.

During a mission trip to a remote village, I found myself surrounded by armed men who threatened the lives of the people I had come to help, she said, her voice steady despite the intensity of the memory. I was scared, but somehow, I knew that I couldn't let my fear control me. I prayed for guidance, and something inside me simply clicked. It was as if a higher power had granted me the strength and courage I needed to face those men and protect the innocent.

Wow... Fat Jesus breathed, his eyes wide with awe. So your faith...it gave you the strength to overcome your fears?

Sister Abigail nodded, her gaze returning to the present. Yes. It wasn't easy, and it didn't happen overnight, but my faith in a higher power helped me find the courage and determination I needed to face my fears head-on.

Fat Jesus considered her words, his mind processing the enormity of what she had just shared. If Sister Abigail could overcome her own fears through faith and determination, perhaps
