    Chapter 1: Understanding our identity in Christ

    The gift of salvation comes with the gift of discernment. With discernment, we start to see the world from a different perspective. We see the world the way it was intended for man to enjoy. Our fallen nature didn’t allow us to understand our dominion, power, and authority. However, the gift we’re given by Christ of redemption has reconciled us with God and has put us back in the position that’s our birthright.

    We have been restored to our true identity. We have been given back the blessings that were stolen from us. But all these things that we gained back were all received by faith. We received our salvation by faith. We received our sonship by faith. We accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord by faith. We walk in the revelation of God being our Father by faith.

    Luke 9:28-34 tells us that Jesus took Peter, John, and James with Him up on the mountain of transfiguration, where He conversed with Elijah and Moses. Upon Jesus re-joining his disciples, they were overshadowed by a cloud. Most importantly, Luke 9:35 tells us, ‘Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, My Chosen One; listen, obey, and yield to
