Alpha's Embrace - Maria Saha
The Breezy Run
Hale
The wind runs through my furs as my golden curls flow through them as I run in this enthralling rush. My blood pumps faster as we run through the forest together, and all I can feel is the wet mud on my paws from last night's rain. The dirt makes me filthy, but as an animal and a human, a hybrid, I belong in the nature of it all.
The forest around me is alive and astir with life. Humming with the sound of birds chirping through the early hours of the morning. The greenery fills the woods and over our prosperous land. The rain from the night before makes the ground mustier in scent, and the brown leaves fall, blown by the wind, and chills flow through my body. My fur protects me from the harshness of the weather, and I feel hot thanks to the run.
I enjoy the calmness of the blue above us. I breathe in, completely taking in the cool breeze. I inhale the fresh air as we run along the riverside. The water sparkles in the sunlight, clear and pure.
The sky is calm and chilly, and the trees sky-scraping the blue skies and the fluffy clouds floating around. The sunlight shines upon us as we run. We all weave through trees and climb over the wooden debris around the mountain. There are many fallen logs, perfect for a wolf's playground.
All I could ever ask for was a sense of togetherness alongside the people that would lay down their life for me. I'm proud to be running alongside my pack, my own family. It fulfills me to be a part of something bigger than myself. I genuinely love to run with my pack, all in unison to strengthen our bonds with one another before we go back to our duties.
It brings me back to reality, where I happen to glance over at the most beautiful woman I have laid eyes on, our fantastic alpha, Mia. Admittedly, she takes on the image of a smaller wolf, but I wouldn't let that fool you. Her movements are sleek, so fluid it's almost cat-like, and what she lacks in size, she definitely makes up for in speed.
The most beautiful part of her that stands out is her curly brown fur. They swirl in the sunlight and make her look more amiable. A pleasant surprise that her foes often experience when they happen to come across and underestimate her abilities.
Her blue eyes are seen in her wolf form, yet she has one brown and one blue eye as a human. Nobody knows why she was born that way either. It's just like the world knew she was special too.
As our alpha, she's always had the fierce need to protect, and with that comes a ferocious woman. She's proved that plenty as she demonstrates her loyalty. She's faced many enemies and has honed her combat skills over the years. It can be seen clearly through the scar that runs from her cheek, right down, cutting through her lips.
If I had to describe her aura, it would be fierce inside with the ability to stay calm and collected, the true meaning of a natural leader. But, as our chosen leader, she needs to remain solid for us and have the ability to lean on us when she needs us, too.
She leads us in the
