This book Sandcastles At Sunset is the seventh book written by Nicole Rustin in the My World of Poetry series.

It contains an assortment of poems about philosophies of love and peace. The book promotes anti-discrimination and looks into women’s rights. Some poems look at the philosophies between right and wrong and an attempt by the author to eradicate violence.

The writer also talks about some of her loved ones and friends. The writer includes these people in her book to show gratitude to them for all of their help over the years.

Although it is probably not possible for all violence to be outlawed forever, the writer hopes that people who read her books will gain insight into peace and an ideal world which may deter some from violent acts.

Nicole Rustin

I began writing poetry when I was aged 10 years and developed into writing sophisticated poetry at the age of 13 years. I used poetry as an outlet to my feelings at a young age having lost my great grandmother and eventually my father at 16 years of age. My father died on his 50th birthday. My father was my softball coach. I was an elite athlete at age 13 years through to age 21 years. I represented my state, NSW, at open women’s level and my country Australia at youth level. I was a softball pitcher. When my father died I was struck with grief. Hence the poem “A Letter to Heaven”. This poem was printed on his funeral eulogy. I then gave birth to Ashliegh Rustin when I was aged 17 years. I brought Ashleigh up as a sole parent and she was the inspiration for my poem “My Beautiful Ashleigh”. I then studied law and obtaining an honours degree. I now operate my own legal firm and have continued to write poetry periodically throughout my life.
