Humanity was faced with a huge challenge when American astronomers discovered a huge asteroid  coming towards Earth. The  asteroid was due to arrive at Earth 's orbit in 5 months. The collision of the asteroid to the planet would annihilate the whole planet. But everywhere, people put aside their differences, prejudices, racial, and religious differences to develop a weapon that will ultimately save mankind from extinction. When the weapon created by every nation in the world greatest scientists was deployed, it destroyed the asteroid on the path for Armageddon. The time of celebration was brief when it was learned that the shockwave created by the destruction of the asteroid caused the Earth's orbit to change. The shockwave pushed the Earth a little deeper into the Habitat Zone within the solar system, making the planet much warmer than it originally was.  That caused all the ice on the poles to melt. It was a disaster as many cities flooded. The shockwave not only changed the Earth position but also stopped the Earth's rotation completely.  Now, the planet has one side in eternal night, and the other side of the planet is on eternal day. The dividing line between the eternal Day and the eternal Night region is what is called the Star Light Zone. It is a small habitat zone not too cold like how it is in the eternal night region or scorching hot like how it is in the eternal day region. The climate and temperature are perfect. However, this region is not extensively wide, but it is extremely long because it  encircles the whole planet from north to south, all the way to the poles. The main city in this zone where the Sun appears to set into the night is called Star Light City. That's where I live.

I am a police detective for Star Light City. I was a good detective, and if my new partner continues to investigate, she will soon discover that I ain't a good detective anymore.  When the system you live in and work for, let the main drug trafficker in the city go free and then when your whole family is executed because of the corruption in the city. When the city you work for and bleed for allows monster to go free, then you will understand why I had to become a cold-blooded serial murder.

The first person I murdered was the most difficult because he had seen me coming a mile away.  He was known for giving harsh sentences.  Some of the individuals he sent to jail were very high-profile criminal figures involved in big companies racketeering money, Human Trafficking and he basically took the credit for the overall reduction in crime. It gained him so much credibility that he was going to run for mayor.
