About this ebook

"This prosperity manual was written from the basis that thought is a substantial influence on the world such as electricity, steam, heat and light. That every person can control, direct, transform and dissipate their thoughts in the same way that manipulates the forces that are evident to their five senses.
If the person who takes this book, has studied psychology and metaphysics from this point of view, has undoubtedly had evidence of this power of thought. If you have not done it, then approach this book with an impartial mind willing to investigate and not judge until you have all the evidence and have given a complete judgment to the recommended practices and applications.
In many cases, the simple attentive reading of the book will be sufficient to produce a marked change for better in the affairs of one.
But the most fervent desire of the author, is not that a person is simply prosperous in their worldly affairs for this volume, but that this little book is the door of a new life. And that you continue, studying other works, of the same nature, until you know all the joy and freedom that many other people have arrived, who have found their peace and happiness living the principles that are defended here.
The author will always be happy to listen to those who have benefited from these teachings.
Cal. A.R.M. Easter 1913

""Prosperity"" by Annie Rix Militz is a book that addresses the theme of prosperity from a spiritual approach. The author argues that the divine mind (superconscious mind) is the only reality and that incorporating the ideas that form that mind into our rational mind and persevering in them, we can develop a powerful inner strength. The author also makes a distinction between worldly wealth and true spiritual wealth and suggests that we must first seek spiritual wealth and then be able to access material wealth. In addition, the book defends that prosperity and spirituality must be linked and that it is the person who must make this union through maintaining the right attitude in the mind and in the heart."

    CHAPTER I: Prosperity through spirituality

From you come riches and honor, and you dominate everything. And in your hand is power and strength; and in your hand is to magnify and strengthen everyone.

IT IS NOW ESTABLISHED in the minds of many that bodily health is a legitimate result of spiritual knowledge and will eventually be one of the signs of a practical follower of Christ. But these same people, many of them, find it hard to believe that the health of circumstances can be demonstrated in the same way and is as legitimate and true a sign of the understanding of spiritual law as the healing of the body. Looking at riches with a just and unprejudiced mind, we will understand why they have been largely in the possession of the unspiritual instead of the children of God, to whom the inheritance belongs by right.

    REJECTED WEALTH

Worldly riches have been feared, despised, condemned and even hated by spiritual aspirants, due to ignorance of how to be in them and yet not be of them, how to possess them and not be possessed by them. Undoubtedly, this attitude of repudiation and ignoring wealth is less deceptive than the other error: greed and the cult of money and the fear of losing wealth. But the truly wise avoid both attitudes, knowing that worldly riches are but a reflection of real and spiritual riches to be sought first, then, and always. Having found the riches of heaven, you cannot escape the riches of earth unless you deliberately disown them.

    THE NEW CANAAN

The rich state of being is the Promised Land that belongs to God's people. Their occupation by the selfish and carnal is like the Hittites, Canaanites, and others who possessed the Promised Land at the time the Israelites began their march, under Moses, out of Egypt to reclaim their own country. The land, according to the spies (Num. 13), was highly coveted, a land flowing with milk and honey. This innocent land was sweet, pure and good despite the fact that pagans exploited it. So are worldly riches: impersonal, good, useful, worthy of the respect of the world.

Let us be truthful and let us not despise what symbolizes a divine blessing, nor let us covet, on the contrary, what is not true wealth; for how hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! which is a saying that applies to both the anxious poor and the foolish rich. It is not money itself which is the root of all evil; money as such is nothing more than a symbol. It is the love of money that creates terrible problems in families and among friends and spoils the candidate for spiritual power and enlightenment.

    THE RIGHT MENTAL ATTITUDE

The first step in prosperous attainment is to have the right attitude of mind and heart towards worldly wealth; to see that prosperity and spirituality must marry here on earth and that man's must be the word that makes marriage an accomplished fact. For too long prosperity has been considered material and carnal, a lady of fortune, a scarlet woman, fickle and false, like the false wife of Hosea, who forgot the origin of her wealth. She did not know that I had given her grain, new wine, and oil, and had multiplied silver and gold for her. For too long spirituality, like an austere, ascetic, condemnatory, impractical and exclusive monk, has repudiated riches and has not known that whom God has united cannot be separated by man. That old spirituality is dead. Everyone say hello to the new.

THE WEDDING OF SPIRITUALITY AND GOOD FORTUNE

The man, like an officiating priest, marries these, internal spirituality and external wealth, which seemed to be two and even to have been in opposition, (1) believing in their union and (2) revealing that in their true prosperity of character is spiritual and spirituality thrives.

Prosperity is from God, like life, health and strength. It is man's privilege to use these divine gifts as he wishes; you can use your strength to knock another down; you can use your health to impose your appetites on others; but these usages do not diminish the fact that strength and health are gifts of God.

Man can misuse his prosperity, he can derive it from dishonest and selfish sources, but those are his mistakes; the truth is still that everything that is universally good in itself is of the same origin, God. And prosperity originates from the One who is all prosperous, who makes all things good and very good and never knows failure.

There is no good pursued by man that, seen in its purity and from the highest point of view, cannot be identified with God. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the... house of bondage. I am the Lord, your good, who freed you from that great problem, saved you from that mistake, failure or other responsibility: the evil that besets you.

    PROSPERITY AND GOD ARE ONE

Prosperity is the presence of God. It is that expression of comfort, power, beauty, and freedom that is always associated with the kingdom of heaven. Whenever the advent of Christ's reign is described, the language of earthly riches is used, and the Scriptures abound in heavenly attributes and comparisons, drawn from the prosperity of the world's human beings.

Identifying prosperity with God, we see that this is the truth of his being, that he is omnipresent and universal. Being everywhere, it is not necessary to go from one place to another to get it. You find it inside. So you carry it with you: you yourself are prosperity. As the poet Whitman may say,

I do not seek fortune, I myself am good fortune.

You find it in the business you have now. You fulfill the declared promise of the one whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night...and all that he does shall prosper.

    UNIVERSAL AND IMMUTABLE PROSPERITY

Being universal, the prosperity that is one with God is expressed in everything and through everyone. It manifests in your life as abundant good luck. All the kingdoms of the world give you their best. In the plant kingdom your plants are healthy, their harvests are abundant and they are not subject to drought, frost, plagues or blight; in the
