About this ebook

In Columbus, Ohio, it is not rare to have a church on almost every corner. Storefronts are also used for church buildings. The pastor and lay-members of the town have never seen a move of God such as this before. But the events that have taken place on the east side of town may have taken place before. The news, neighbors and people from all over stand in awe as these unexplainable events happen. Why are things happening in these smalltown churches? Surely, members and leaders of congregations all over fast and pray too? Continue to read as the Glory of the Lord shines through these pages!

The Glory of the Lord - Kimberly Miller

    A Word from the Author

In our lives we always wonder if what we experience is all there is. Through the pages you are about to read, I pray the possibilities are revealed to be endless. Through these pages, not only can our experience in living for Christ be more than but also be similar or the same as the very first experience ever in the appearance of the Holy Spirit falling upon the people of God. The word of God lets us know that there is nothing new under the sun. So everything that has happened just keeps on repeating itself. I would like to think that is because we have so many chances to get things (our lives) lined up with the word of God, meaning walking, talking, and living as Christ did. He said that greater works we would do. He meant that he began a great work, and we are to perform even greater works than he did. This means Christ is working greater works through his people, which is why we quote, Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world, meaning he who is not like God. Some call him Satan. Neither are the ones he sends to come up against us to make us stumble or even fall. God on the inside is greater than all the principalities of this world. This is why it is important to have him on the inside shining on the outside and bringing about a change in our lives.

    Chapter 1

"A strange fog has been reported on the south side of Columbus today. My name is reporter Sandy Williams. I am here across the street at Parsons and Whittier. I am looking at what has been called nothing but a strange phenomenon. No one has seen fog engulf a building in this manner before. People who were standing by said that they heard people inside which sounded like they were having church. All of a sudden, everything was quiet. It was then that the fog appeared. It appeared to come from the steeple to the curb. It is as if the entire building disappeared.

"It has been an hour now and it appears the fog is lifting. I see doors opening. The people are coming out now. No one is talking. This is amazing! There seems like there are at least over fifty people coming out, and not even the children are talking. These people doesn’t stop to talk to anyone.

"Everyone is gone. We weren’t able to even talk to anyone who has exited the building. I think from now on, all eyes will be on this church. This was definitely considered a major happening.

Think that was good enough for the papers web page? Maybe. All right, Charles, that’s a wrap. There is nothing else to report here.

Yes, ma’am. I think I have recorded everything. I shot some good close-ups on the adults and children who came out of the building.

It is not a usual building that you have church in.

Just a little storefront building. It is very nice looking though. Red brick building with two picture windows with blinds that would shake when the door to the building was opened. We couldn’t see inside because the blinds were closed. I wonder what they were doing in there, especially when it got quiet. Was anyone talking? I wondered. I have so many questions and no one to answer them for me. Next Sunday, I don’t have to work. Think I’ll pay a visit to this church next Sunday. Yes, that’s what I’ll do.

    Chapter 2

Good afternoon, Ms. Williams, how did the story pan out?

"Well, Mr. James, we obtained some really good photographs of the building and the people coming out. I wasn’t able to ask any questions. Everyone that came out of that building was silent. Not even a murmur was uttered.

So I said fine because next Sunday, I will be right there.

While we are waiting on that story, I would like you to cover the story when the mayor visits the homeless shelter.

Yes, sir, on my way now.

You actually have a few hours.

Great! I can get some lunch before I go.

    Meanwhile across town…

    Chapter 3

"Praise the Lord! Bishops, pastors, and associates, good morning. For those who don’t know me. My name is Pastor Bims. To my right, we have Pastor Bend, to his right, Bishop Hall, Pastor Hill, Bishop Pastor Conn, and at my left hand, Pastor Miller. I have called you all here to discuss what happened at God’s Temple yesterday at the corner of Parson Avenue and Whittier Street. I have invited you, five pastors, to join in what I call a Holy Ghost revolution. I know there needs to be more to make this a revolution. There will be others to join later.

"We are gathered here today to not only share what happened at our church but to also ask you and your congregations to participate also. We all have been preaching here lately that God is about to start some new things in the lives of His people. Well, yesterday, He began just that. The fog that the news and the people were seeing right outside this building was actually God’s glory come down upon us. At that time, no one could leave and no one could enter. No one did actually try either.

Our congregation and all ministers had been on a three-day fast together. Sunday morning was the last part after Saturday. We came to church the way we always do. However, I did what God told me, and I informed everyone to be on time. I also told them that they would not be able to enter late. One of my parishioners asked if I was going to lock the doors. I told her God said no. I always tell them, ‘When Jesus comes back, you can’t say that you have something else to do and say. Lord, I will catch up." We need to be ready.’

"Now I will tell you the truth. I had no idea what God had planned. We began services like we always
