    Acknowledgment

I must be grateful to God Almighty who helped me beyond my knowledge and comprehension to write this book. My appreciation also goes to men and women of Holy Order who helped me with this work.

I must mention especially those who throw more light into the subject discussed, they are Lady Bishop Ejifordomi Adetula (recently deceased), Bishop (Dr.) Rosecollett Haastrup (the president of Continental Bible University College), my children who normally engage me in the fruitful discussion on the subject, my dear wife who was brought up in a highly religious Christian family but still listen to discussions on the subject, to my colleagues at Continental Bible University College, and finally to my secretary, Sandra; they all make me realize that it is not the life that matters, but the courage we put into living.

To the Christian Faith Publishing Company for editing, organizing, and arranging the content and approval to publish same, I signify my special appreciation.

    Introduction

The ancient philosophers and early religious leaders speak mostly in languages, which portray wisdom and truth. Their sayings, old as it is was, are still relevant even in present times. It tends more truth than religion. In fact, most of their sayings may not be in consonant with modern-day religious practices. They believe that No Religion is Higher than Truth. This snippet, which are mostly from ancient writings and philosophical sayings, throw more light and insight into what human beings should consider and examine the deep meanings it contains.

The book is not trying to preach religion but rather highlighting the truths, which modern-day religion is neglecting. It may be due to focus on having more members in their congregation or simply targeting income to the ministry. Truth about the kingdom of God or heaven has been watered down, especially where majority of members are poor.

The content may be controversial or simply not in agreement with some Christian religious leaders, but the truth will remain and can never be covered for long, for the core points will still stand the test of time. The love of God for humanity and the tribulations, which our Lord Jesus Christ experienced during his sojourn on earth, has been taken into contempt.

The level of development in science and technology, coupled with standard of living we have at present, have made us less devoted to what happens when we depart from here. Our true relationship with Jesus Christ has been twisted in that what is so close to us has been made so distant from us.

The main theme in the book is on the truth about our relationship with Christ from topics, which throw light on the truth about our existence on earth. The book may not be totally acceptable to modern Christians and theologians, mainly because the present-day preaching focuses on a glorious place beyond and means by which we can get there without having been explicit on the true relationship we have with our Redeemer, which can help and assist in getting close to him.
