    Go Ye - Leon Rosby

    Chapter 1

    Introduction

Now more than ever, the world is crying out for answers to life’s challenges. They are looking for a quick fix, a one-time remedy to heal their wounds and make their lives better overall. But there is no quick fix. There is, however, a one-time solution: Jesus. Jesus is the cure to everything: sickness, poverty, depression, loneliness, and desolation.

It has become blatantly apparent in these last days that the body of Christ can no longer sit back comfortably within its four walls while the rest of the world goes on with life as usual. Jesus’s final instructions before ascending into heaven can be found in Mark 16:15: Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel. The reality is that every Christian has been given the assignment to share the good news of Jesus Christ with everyone who does not know him. The good news is that Jesus is anointed to remove every burden and to destroy every yoke in our lives (Isaiah 10:27; Luke 4:18).

Jesus specifically said, Go. He did not say, Stay here in the synagogue and preach the gospel among yourselves. His directive is very clear. Go into the streets, into the community, and beyond to share the good news. There are so many good things to share about Jesus and his love for us. And, yet, many people in the world still have no idea how good he is.

They don’t know that because Jesus died for their sins, they have the right to eternal life (John 3:15–17). They don’t know that by his stripes, they are already healed (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24). They don’t know that when they give their lives to Christ, they become joint heirs with him and qualify to share in his inheritance (Romans 8:17). Sadly enough, they have no idea that they can receive the free gift of salvation simply by opening their mouths and confessing Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9–10).

As Christians, we have a responsibility to lead others to Christ. Going outside the four walls may be uncomfortable initially, but those feelings won’t last. I tell you
