Sky Scrapers is about the adventure of a lifetime for Sam and Josh, who are doing research for a high school science fair on astronomy. The information comes to them by a mysterious teacher, who takes them zooming through the universe in a unique way to learn about the purpose of stars, comets, and more that inhabit the heavens. Later when at university, they have another series of adventures that finds them moving through time from Adam's arrival on earth to Abram's tent in the desert. Both of these thrilling events have a purpose to reveal how the heavens declare the glory of God and how this information has changed down through the ages. This is a story for all ages to enjoy, and maybe even to look at the stars in the heavens in a different way.

How the Sky Scrapers came into being?

I am so thankful for the many people who have encouraged me on this journey, but this is all God’s doing and I am the vessel He chose to use. Let me share with you the amazing God incidences the brought this all about.

Way back when I was in Girl Guides I went to a planetarium to learn about astronomy for my Astronomers badge. It was then I decided that I wanted to be an astronomer but could not figure out how you got paid for doing this. I was about 15 at the time. I set it aside and decided I needed to do something more practical.

During my life’s journey I learned to trust God and desired to do His will. I have friends in another city that held me up in prayer especially two Brenda’s. I thank the Lord for them, for their prayers and encouragement and the people at the church there who told me not to quit.

In 1998 I was at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship and heard Ed Silvos talk about their ministry to do mission trips in Argentina. I knew in my spirit I had to go. I even packed my suitcase, got food in the apartment, and told my daughter if I was not there when she got home from school I would be on my way to Argentina. I was still there when she got home. I thank my family for being patient with me and my God told me to do ideas.

It was 2002 before I went to Argentina. While there I prayed for others and wondered if there was another reason I was there. I even had a dream before I left Canada and it happened in Argentina. I knew I need to be there. The last evening, God likes to leave things to the last minute; I received a word from J.D. (who is with Jesus now). The word was I needed a foundation for a skyscraper. What do you do when God gives you a word about something as big as a skyscraper? You tuck it away in your mind and pray what does this mean.

By 2006 I was living in a different community and had another friend whose name was Brenda (she is cheering me on from heaven now). One day I mentioned that I used to like astronomy. Brenda had just read a book that had a reference for The Gospel in the Stars by Joseph A. Seiss. She went right to that reference and gave me the information and said I should go to Chapters and see if I can get it. I ordered it and my life changed again.

Now I was in seventh heaven reading about the constellations and how they are a picture of Jesus and His story written in the heavens. I likely drove people around the bend by sharing tidbits of this information they had no interest or knowledge of. I thank each and every one of them for their patience with me. I thank my friends at our small church who listened to me for two evenings as I download the information I had. Thank you for your support.

Then a man from my church asked me if I had asked if I had ever asked God for a birthday present. Since I was single and my children making their way in the world, I thought I would try it, I was free to go where God wanted me to.

So in October of 2007, I asked God for a birthday present. My birthday came and went and no present from God I thought. It was a couple of months into 2008 that I came across an article in an astronomy magazine that mentions an amazing event that happened with a comet around the date of my birthday. You will have to read carefully to find it but it is in this book. The comet suddenly became bright to the astonishment of astronomers and started me on the path to digging deep into the heavens for clues about Jesus.

I had learned the names of the constellations after the mythology was removed but I knew that there was more. Psalm 19 say that night after night the heaven reveal knowledge and I wanted to find out how this happened. Comet Holmes was the key to opening the door to how this knowledge can be revealed. If the constellations have mythological name you can’t see this knowledge but remove the myth and see God’s plan for salvation written in the heavens, then the path of comets might take on some meaning. I have been doing this for ten years and can say that their message is biblical.

I want to thank Glenn who received each new revelation I received Thank you for your patience with me and my enthusiasm. I was just so excited about each new find like Northern Cross. What a treasure God has hidden there, I am sure there are more. When I wrote the story in 2015 about the three comets, little did I know that in 2017 there were three returning comets that spring.

About 2015, I had gathered much information and wanted to share it. I ask God to give me a way to help people become interested in the stars, planets, constellations and comets in a way that they would want to read the information in Chapter 10.

March of 2015, one day I woke up and knew I had to write but when I sat at the computer I did not know what to write. Until I could hear the still small voice, give me the first sentence. Then the next until I had written the first chapter of Sky Scrapers, and this went on for nine days and nine chapters. The story in chapter ten came easily and led right into the information I wanted people to see. And now I know what that prophetic word skyscraper meant. It wasn`t a building but to remove the myth, or scrape away the myths to reveal God`s story in the heavens.

Amazed I had a book, and then a friend offered to help me with it. As she was working on this and I had figured I had a book. Then after a ten day rest it started again. Part 2 happened in much the same way, I would sit at the computer and start typing and the story appeared. One reference that I have was purchased in Singapore while I was there visiting my family. That reference book fit right into the second part of my book.

I ask a group of people to read my story and tell me what they think. I appreciated each one who took the time to read and make comments, thank you. The book sat for a couple of years as I waited on God to give me direction or because He was putting people in place for the next step. In January of 2017 God gave me a list of people to pray for concerning my book.

One of the names on my list was Jody. The next day after God gave me the list, I get a text from Jody with the phone number of a publisher. Now what you need to know that I had met Jody one day while I was doing my wash at the Laundromat, I went over to Chapters while my clothes were drying. I love it when God is at work. Jody was in the Christian book section which I gravitate to each wash day. We got into a conversation while her husband was holding one of the major books that I used for my information.

One thing she was looking for but didn`t see there was a Hebrew-English Bible. I just happened to have picked one up recently. I lived not too far away so I went home and got the bible plus I picked up a copy of my first part of Sky Scrapers and attached my card to it so she could return it.

She was glad to receive the bible and said she would read my manuscript. When she returned it she a phone number for a publisher but when I tried that one is was no longer operating.

The day after God gave me the name Jody, she texts me with the number of the publisher I am using. Many thanks to Jody who was in the area for a wedding because she lived in another province not just down the road.

I want to thank Pat for the first edit of this in 2015. I thank my family who even had to provide a room for me for a time but he got to use my car. My son in Singapore who invited me there to be a grand-mother and opened the way to visit churches and Christian book stores there even find the book by Park`s that has been so helpful. My friends Val, Shirley, and Bev who listened when I was excited about the treasures I was finding in the heavens. Recently I have had two authors help me with the process as well as Christian Faith Publisher; I could not do this without your help. I might even dust off a few books I have on my computer.

But most of all I thank God. I was not expecting this and it has been an awesome journey.

Psalm 19 says- The heavens declare the glory of God, and they do and I know there are more treasures for other people to find. I pray that this book will help them go treasure hunting with God to find the different ways that night after night the heavens display knowledge. Judith Kaye

Part 1

Chapter 1

I see the Moon, and the Moon sees me. Sam wondered about these words from a story he had read when he was much younger as he gazed up at the bright full moon. Does the Moon really see me?

He was lying on the grass with the bright moon above him, imagining what it would be like on the Moon, when suddenly he found he was flying through the night sky, soaring above the earth. The place he called home became smaller and smaller, and the Moon loomed bright before him. How am I going to know what to do when I land? Before the thought was clear in his mind, he was there, standing in the Sea of Tranquility.

Sam had done what no human before him had ever done—he travelled to the Moon without a spacecraft. The ground under his feet felt strange. He floated more than walked on the surface of the moon. This is cool. I think I would like to sit on top of the Moon and ride it around the heavens like it was my own special space mobile.

Just as the idea came to him, he was plunked down in his very own private Moon Mobile, and the Moon guide greeted him. Welcome to the lunar space machine. Because you are our very first customer, you will receive the deluxe tour package. So fasten your seatbelt, hold on tight as we blast off to tour the Universe!

My name is Sky Rider. We will ride the night sky on a mission to reveal the secret of heavenly creatures. Our travel time will be as long as we need to answer the questions you have. But I can only answer one question at a time.

Sam could not believe what was happening. Am I really on a…a what is it called? A Moon Mobile? Rubbing his eyes and trying to wake up, even though he was not asleep, he saw that he really was sitting in the Moon Mobile with his seatbelt fastened. As Sky Rider was speaking to him, Sam wondered I have so many questions, how can I pick out one when I can’t even believe that I am here? Where do I begin? We are already far out into the solar system. He was travelling faster than his mind could think.

Sky Rider started his tour by pointing out the inner planets Venus and Mercury, the ones between Earth and the Sun, as they whirled around in their orbits. The Moon Mobile zoomed past them on their way to the Sun, the centre of our Solar System.

Sam squirmed in his seat picturing himself burnt to a crisp. He knew no one could survive this close to the Sun the great ball of gaseous fire which is at the centre of our Solar System and provides light and heat to planet Earth. But right now Sam was scared he might never return to Earth which was so very, very, very far away. It was just a tiny blue spot in the distance.

Sam sat holding on to the handrail so tight that his knuckles were white. Sky Rider—are we really heading to the Sun? That was a frightening thought; it is hot, really hot—hotter than anything he knew. Great relief came when Sky Rider pulled the lever, and a great heat shield appeared for their protection as they approached the Sun. Sky Rider replied, To start the journey, we need to begin at the centre of our Solar System. Then his tone grew more serious. Sam, give full attention to what I am about to say. You will be given a task when this adventure is finally over.

Sam, this will be a fun ride, but you will also learn things that other people don’t know or don’t want to hear. Let me put it this way. If you have a chocolate ice cream and you know that it is real chocolate, then someone comes along and adds a vanilla ice cream, mixes the two together, and then serves it to you as chocolate ice cream, would that be true?

Sam replied, It would taste like chocolate ice cream, but it was really not truly hundred percent chocolate ice cream.

Sky Rider nodded his head in agreement. You’re right. And how would you like it if you found out that it was not hundred percent chocolate?

Sam pondered the question and thought about how he would feel if cheated, deceived and, tricked. He said, I would be sad and angry that someone had tricked me.

You are very clever and right on to feel that way. When we have a little truth and we add a big portion of deception, the truth becomes cloudy, and we begin to believe a lie. On this trip, you will hear different names for the planets. The names God intended for them to reveal His glory. But man has turned away from God and made up false gods to worship and placed the names of their false gods in the God-created Universe.

If you like this journey, you are invited to come back for the super deluxe tour! said Sky Rider.

Sam began to relax but pondered, What could possibly be wrong with the names of the planets? Their names describe a person or object, and that seemed okay to him.

As they zoomed through space, they came closer to the small planet near the Sun. Sky Rider then told him, Names are the key to what the person or object is all about. Take your name Sam for instance. It’s short for Samuel, which means ‘asked from God.’ Ancient Hebrew teachers tell a story about a boy named Samuel. His parents wanted a child. They prayed many times for a son before Samuel was born. And because they asked God, his name became Samuel meaning ‘asked from God.’

Sam’s face lit up as he was hearing from Sky Rider what had really happened in his family! His parents had prayed for years for a son! What Sky Rider was saying was beginning to make sense, and he became very interested to know what else he had to say.

The Sun was right ahead. They could not stand to be this close if it wasn’t for the super naturally strong heat shield of the Moon Mobile. Sky Rider announced, Behold the Minister of Light. The one you earthlings call the Sun is really a big gaseous star that is the centre of our Solar System.

Sam thought to himself that was a strange way to address the Sun. He remembered reading that in ancient times, many people groups saw it as a god, but to call it a minister? What was that all about? Sam pondered the word minister, which sounded like a leader of a church. How is the Sun a minister?

Sky Rider could tell that this was confusing Sam, so he explained this idea to him before his thoughts got organized (if that was possible). To the people of the Earth, the Sun was just the right distance away to give us light without being too hot. Your planet is in just the right place. The Minister of Light makes your living space comfortable. Sam, here is a question for you about Earth being just the right distance away from the Sun. Could this have happened by random chance, or does it point to a creator who has a plan and a purpose for the people who live on Earth?"

Sam thought about what he had learned in school about the Solar System and all the names of the planets. He even had made a model for a science project. But that had nothing to do with God; it was science.

Before Sam could process this mind-boggling information, the Moon Mobile had sped away from the
