About this ebook

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. He created all souls. And the reason He created the earth was so that each soul He had created could choose God or Satan. If a soul chooses to follow Satan and lives a sinful life, can that soul, or any soul, be re-incarnated?

Forty-Nine Days to Pentecost - Violet Braham Lisle

    Prologue

    T

here is no doubt that it was in God’s plans for me to write this book. He gave me the title, Forty-Nine Days to Pentecost, in 2004. I thought it was going to be a book of personal experiences. I wrote down ideas that formed in my mind about my childhood and kept them in a notebook. [They were used in my second book]. Whenever I had an idea, my husband, Dick, would get me a book based on that idea.

I read numerous books. The Holistic Mind & Body Approach, Creative Visualization, The Power of Intention, Embraced by the Light. I wrote down thoughts from these books. But still no solid book ideas. My daughter, Julie, gave me a ‘Read the ‘Bible in a year’ Bible. I read it three times and made notes.

Then one morning when Dick and I were talking about water crystals and a story of an experience someone had when they almost drowned, I thought out loud, ‘What if someone died and found out they had been Judas in a past life and they were going to be reincarnated to give their soul another chance to be saved. Chills ran up my arm. Next day, Dick gave me the book, Secrets of Judas. I read it and made notes. Still no book.

Then on November 1, 2007 at 4:00am, I woke up and I knew what my book was about. I told Dick, I’m going to start my book. I got up and started writing. I finished the book on November 30th, 2007 and sent it off for the copyright.

The book when finished was not what I thought it was going to be about at all. God led me in the direction the book was to take, day by day, page by page. Thank you, Lord for inviting those who read my book to ‘Come see the loving side of God.’

I want to thank all the writers of the books I read. I may have used a sentence or an idea from a chapter of your book or several views. Without your book I wouldn’t have had the insight to write this book or the two that followed. Thank you for writing your books.

I thanked Dick, while he was alive, for buying me books and for being my sounding board. We had endless discussions of books and ideas. I thanked him for all the help he gave me…so that I had time to help Julie. Our three children had a large part in the silent internal workings of the book.

Holly, I have used some of your questions about the Bible and God that I felt I hadn’t answered adequately enough to satisfy your deepest curiosity of God’s reasoning.

One being how a loving God could condemn a soul that, like Judas, was fulfilling God’s will, a soul He had created in love. I hope you find, not only that answer but, that you will also be able to see and feel how much love God has for you and for each soul He created, and that he wants every soul to choose Him over Satan and each soul to be redeemed and return to Him.

Because Julie was born handicapped, God has heard this mothers’ prayers and always sent me the help I needed. Julie’s faith in God inspired me and her faith and prayers have inspired many. Because of her, those who have come in contact with her have been given the test of choosing between good or bad, choosing to help or hurt those less fortunate than themselves. God was watching over you through all your trials and only once, in your 53 years, did you ask, why me God? You fulfilled the Lord’s purpose for your life on earth, you have allowed many souls to be judged as being good or bad. You are now whole and happy in heaven.

David, for silently placing God’s will for your life first. It’s a steady reminder that God has a plan for each soul. You have always known God has a plan for your life and been willing to keep your heart and mind open for it. You are truly ‘Beloved’ of God.

In 2007 I thought the copyrighted book was finished but I was not happy with the beginning of the book. Then in 2015 God showed me the truth about the Holy Spirit and that brought to life the purpose of Pentecost. I added many pages to the beginning of the book. That same year I added many pages to the end of the book. The copyrighted book had been just half finished.

But this book wasn’t the completed story God wanted me to tell. Forty-nine Days to Pentecost was to be the first of three, a trilogy of exoneration…the exoneration of the most notorious villain of all times…Judas Iscariot.

But it’s also a love story between Kerri Webster and Andrew Marks that begins in this first book, Forty-Nine Days to Pentecost, continues through the second book, ‘Color America Green’.

The third book, ‘When It’s Time, completes their love story, and ends with the proof that exonerates’ Judas of betraying Jesus so many years ago and that Jesus is the Son of God.

These three books, show that it was God’s plan and that Jesus and Judas, were in it together.

    Does God Exist

    T

he Holy Spirit was God’s first creation! I know…I, too thought that God, The Word and the Holy Spirit was a triune God. But I found this amazing truth my freshman year as a student at Greenville University. I’m a psychology major with my minor in economics. But I could take an elective class and my attention was drawn to their debates on religious and social issues. To qualify to be on the debate team you had to take a religious class. I signed up for Religion 101.

I expected it to be on the same level as a Sunday school class. But this is college and you jump from 101 learning to 301. In college, you’re expected to be far beyond high school academics.

On the first day in the class Professor Wilder took attendance. She introduced herself. She then wrote three words on the board ‘Does God Exist?’ She said, Your assignment for the next class is your written response to this question. You’ll be expected to read your response in class. I expect a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer then, proof to your belief is to be the written part of your assignment. You’re to use the rest of this class time to think this assignment through. Then she left the room. Well, needless to say most of the students thought this question was a no brainer and wrote down ‘yes’ and then wrote a few lines to their belief to ‘Does God Exist’.

But something I’d read in my ‘Read the Bible through in One Year’ reading this morning had caught my attention. So, I left the class and went back to my room. I got out my daily reading Bible and turned to today’s Scripture. In Proverbs 8:22-26 it said, ‘The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else. I, wisdom, was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters, before the mountains were formed, before the hills. I was born before He had made the earth and fields and the first handfuls of soil."

    I had wondered this morning who is this scripture talking about, was it, Christ? So, I read on. Proverbs 8:27-32; I (wisdom) was there when he established the heaven, when He drew the horizon on the oceans. I was there when he set the clouds above, when he established springs deep in the earth. I was there when he set the limits of the seas, so they would not spread beyond their boundaries;

And when he marked off the earth’s foundations, I was the architect at his side. I was His constant delight at His side. I was His constant delight, rejoicing always in His presence. And how happy I was with the world He created. How I rejoiced with the human family. And so, my children listen to me for all who follow my ways are happy."

I, again, questioned who these scriptures were referring to, could it be the Holy Spirit?

I finished reading Proverbs 8:33-36 Listen to my (wisdom’s) instructions and be wise. Don’t ignore it. Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home! For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. But those who *miss me* injure themselves. All who hate me *find death*, (Could this be deny the Holy Spirit and you will find death?)

I went back up to Proverbs 3: 19-20; The Lord by *wisdom* founded the earth. (The Holy Spirit is often referred to as Wisdom.) The Lord by *wisdom founded the earth. By *understanding He established the heavens. By His knowledge, the deeps broke forth and the clouds drop down the dew. (*wisdom, understanding, knowledge, these are reference to the Holy Spirit)

Proverbs 8:17-22; I love all who love me. Those who search will surely find me. I have riches and honor, as well as enduring wealth and justice. *My gifts are better than gold, even the purest gold. My wages better than sterling silver! I walk in righteousness, in paths of justice. Those who love me inherit wealth. (This must mean the gifts of the Holy Spirit.)

So, I thought about ‘In the beginning was the Word’, where is that scripture located in the Bible? I turned to John 1:1-5; In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

Yes, there it is! God and the Word were one and they already existed before the beginning of His creations! It doesn’t say anything about a third being…the Holy Spirit did not always exist! Wisdom, knowledge, justice… are all qualities of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was God’s first creation!!! Wow!! What a discovery! Goose bumps ran up my arms and my whole body tingled. I felt that the heavens were singing! Could I have just come up with a Universal Truth that theologians and Bible scholars had missed for centuries? Yes…yes!

So, I set up my typewriter and typed… Does God Exist? Wow. The Professor will be profoundly surprised with this answer!! Yes, In John 1:1-5; In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. Proverbs 8:22; The Lord formed the Holy Spirit before he created anything else. The Holy Spirit, was God but was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began.

I wrote two pages regarding God’s existence before anything was created and that He and The Word created and gave life to the Holy Spirit. In those two pages, I wrote everything I could find regarding God’s existence with The Word from time immemorial and their creation of the Holy Spirit. Whether it is written elsewhere in the Bible remains to be found.

But in response to Professor Wilder’s question, ‘Does God exist?’ I ended my observation with this: "God existed from time immemorial. His existence came from infinity and He will exist to beyond infinity…to think about that is mind boggling. Who made God? No one can answer that. Let’s admit it…there are some things beyond us. We can only conceive of ‘In the beginning of time’. God created time. He created the universe that seemingly goes on to infinity. He created the boundaries of the oceans. How long ago did He create the Holy Spirit?

But, while before creation of time is unimaginable, we can’t question the existence of a super intelligent being. Can the ‘inanimate’ create living things? Can a piece of wood give us a seed of faith implanted within each one of us that allows us to have hope for things not seen? It is by faith that we can believe in a Power higher than ourselves. God is our hope that someday, in the future, we will understand the mystery of His being. Yes, God does exist."

When I had finished my response to ‘Does God Exist’? I read Professor Wilders’ syllabus for the next few classes which was to study other gods and their rituals. On a separate sheet of paper, I wrote a response and scripture regarding these studies based on whether the class accepted God as the One True God. I purposely held back response on the next few classes until I had heard all the other responses to, ‘Does God Exist?’

Most of the responses were shallow and typical 101 Sunday school responses with no research done. But they all believed that God not only existed but that Christ was His Son and that Christ had died on a cross and was resurrected and is seated on the right hand of God and that he will return again.

When I read my well researched response that was backed with scripture Professor Wilder was flabbergasted. She too, had believed in a Triune God. She opened her Bible to the scriptures I had written and read them out loud to the class. She was utterly amazed at my discovery. I looked at the rest of the class and their expressions were totally blank. They appeared as though they knew nothing concerning the Holy Spirit.

Sure, they knew the phrase, ‘Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end’ but they had never thought about ‘as it was in the beginning’. They had learned and repeated the phrase without comprehension of what they were saying. Professor Wilder’s reaction and explanation of the depth of this truth brought some life to the class. This truth turned this class into an exploratory class and it opened Professor Wilder’s mind to a vaster scope of learning.

But it was with trepidation that I broached the subject regarding her upcoming classes to study about other gods. However, with having such a profound discovery behind me I approached the subject, backed by scripture, with her.

I said, "Professor Wilder, I’ve glanced ahead at your next class studies and would like to present some scripture that I’m sure you’re already aware of but may have overlooked.

I’m speaking regarding a scripture taken from Deuteronomy 12: 29 in which God said, Do not worship other gods. Do not fall into the trap of following their customs and worshipping other gods. Do not even inquire about their traditions about their gods by saying, How do these people worship their gods. How does their practice work? Maybe I’ll want to follow their example. Do not let anyone lead you astray from worshipping your God, the living God, for it is a sin. The first of God’s Ten Commandments is ‘You shall have no other Gods besides Me’, and the second Commandment is ‘Thou shall not worship any graven image’.

Because everyone in the class believes in the living God and that Christ was his son, I’ve added the scripture from Matthew 18: 6 which says, But whoever should cause one of these little ones who believe in me to sin…it would be better for them to have a great millstone round their neck and be drowned in the sea. I know it’s bold of me but I thought you might appreciate being reminded of these scriptures.

Because of this warning Professor Wilder decided not to explore, How do other people worship their gods in her next class.

I suggested to Professor Wilder that since most of the class’s major is religion that it might be good to start at the beginning of the Bible and read it through to study each passage to find other hidden truths.

I also had brought my text, ‘Read the Bible in One Year’ to class to show her. She glanced through it and wrote down the information regarding the publisher and put a purchase order in through the college book store for a quantity of ‘Read the Bible in A Year’ and they were to be here for the next class.

She also printed my discovery in the college newspaper, ‘The Collegiate News’ but it got little attention. However, even though my major wasn’t religion but because of my research I was inducted into the University’s Research and Debate Team. After completing that one elective religious class I elected to continue in Professor Wilders Religion 101 class and complete studying the Bible. Here are some of our discoveries and questions.

    Genesis

fter God’s first creation, The Holy Spirit, whom he formed before he created anything else, and before the earth began, everything was created through God, the Word and the Holy Spirit. He established the heaven. He marked off the earth’s foundation. He drew the horizon on the oceans and set the limits of the seas and springs bubbled forth their waters. He formed the mountains and hills. (Proverbs 8: 22-36) He then filled the sky with birds and the waters with fish. Then He said, Let us create man in our image.

What does God look like? In Genesis 1:26-27; God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; In his own image means that God looks like a man and man looks like God. John 14: 9; Jesus said, Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. So why are you asking me to show him to you? So, we were made in the image of God.

At this point I brought up the 2nd Commandment, ‘Thou shall not make any graven
