About this ebook
The world you live in was created with the words you have spoken. If you don't like your world, you must change your words.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue. You must speak life into every situation because the truth of the matter is, every time you open your mouth you are creating a positive world around you or a negative world; the choice is yours!
I wish that someone had explained this to me when I was younger because there are plenty of things that I would not have said and there are things that I would have said about my future.
Can you imagine what this world would be like if we all spoke life to each other? Can you imagine what our communities, our churches, our businesses, our families, and our children would be like if we spoke what God said about these matters?
This book is to encourage you and let you know that God needs your voice here on earth, that God created you to speak, and that your words are powerful.
No longer will you just talk about a problem; you will begin to speak of what God says about that problem. Speak to it!

Speak to It - Warren C. Winns
Chapter 1
You Were Created to Speak
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…
—Genesis 1:26
Human life was created in (literally meaning in essence as
) the image of God as referenced in Genesis 1:27. This image was imparted only to humans. Image is used figuratively here, for God does not have a human form. To be in God’s image means that humans share in God’s nature, though imperfectly and finitely, that is, in his communicable attributes (life, personality, truth, wisdom, love, holiness, justice), and so we have the capacity for spiritual fellowship with him.
God’s purpose in creating human life in his image was functional. Man was to rule or have dominion (Genesis 1:26 and 1:28). God’s dominion was made manifest by a representative. Believers are the representatives of God on earth today. We can communicate with our God and receive instructions from God in the Spirit.
In Genesis, God spoke directly to Adam. In fact, the very first job Adam had was to name the animals. The Bible says that whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof (Genesis 2:19). In the same chapter of Genesis, verses 21 through 23, you can see how God made woman. Once again, God brought this newly made creature to the man Adam, who opened his mouth and said, This is now bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman.
So whatever you call your situation, that is what it is going to be. If you call yourself broke, that is exactly what you will be, broke. If you call your children stupid, they are going to be stupid. If you speak divorce over your marriage, your marriage will end in a divorce. If you call your spouse worthless, your spouse will be worthless. The same way you can create a negative world, you can also create a positive one by changing what you say and what you believe.
Adam did not have a Bible to read God’s Word every day. However, Adam was in the presence of God every day and Adam had the Spirit of Christ. Adam’s faith was not an issue; he believed in God. Adam did not have a problem with what to say because he had the very Spirit of Christ. Adam did, however, have a problem with disobedience. In Genesis 2:16, the Bible
