    The Ultimate Game

Yesterday, my grandpa told me of a past soccer game between the world’s best soccer players and a group of aliens.

This game happened back in the dark days when humanity was on a path of destruction. The game was the sole event that changed the future of humanity to what we have today.

As it was told to me, the day the aliens arrived, everyone was hysterical. People were running around all frantic, and scared. Spaceships hovered over our airspace all around the world. Then, over the airwaves came an image of an alien no one had ever seen.

The alien spoke broken English from a large mouth that was on the top of its oval head. The alien wanted to speak directly to the humans that were in charge of the human race. It said we had three days to work out who that would be.

All the world’s superpowers got together through the United Nations in New York. They put together a panel of ten people to speak to the aliens.

After three days passed, the aliens got straight to the point, it said that they wanted to have a competition with us. The winner of this competition would rule over the earth. If the aliens win, then they would be our leaders. But if we win, then the aliens would give us all the technology and medicine to assure us a stable future.

The competition the aliens wanted to participate in was a soccer game. Our leaders felt that the human soccer players could win, so they agreed to the competition. The date was set for one month from the contact date.

In the meantime, the alien scientist worked closely with our scientist to get an understanding of all the problems the humans had. The aliens gave our scientist a little of the technology and medicine we needed while the days passed toward the competition date.

All the governments began to work together, and they assembled all the great soccer players that were active and retired. The retired players helped in the preparations for the game and the active players went through vigorous training to prepare for the game.

It was agreed during the first week that referee would be both human and alien. A clothing company was contracted to make all the outfits for the participants of the game known as kits.

It was decided that the whole world would have to have access to watch the game, so preparations were made to broadcast globally. The game was to be held in the largest stadium in the world, which was in North Korea.

All humans felt like they had a stake in the outcome of the game, so all countries participated in the preparations. Players from all nationalities were asked to compete in the game.

The scientist continued to work with the alien scientist to make the world a better place to live for everyone, including animals. The aliens shared an alternative sources of energy and was of making clean water out of the oceans.

The day of the game, the whole world was watching. On the field, also known as the pitch, the human players came on first. Everyone cheered and the stadium was roaring with support. About fifteen minutes later, a small spaceship lands on the field and out comes twenty alien players dressed in their kits.

The two teams lined up for the new United Nations anthem, and as it played there was a terrorist threat in the bleachers. It took the security only a few minutes to handle the threat, and then the anthem continued.

The alien players were about six feet tall and light green color. They all had oval heads that were rather large for their bodies. On top of the head was a mouth they spoke from and under that were three eyes—all different colors. Under them were evenly spaced ears about four inches long and were vertical to the head. Under the ears were three tentacle-like noses about six inches long that wiggled as they smelled. That was the head, which was attached to a heart-shaped body that had three long arms. Each arm had elbows, and further down were double-jointed wrists with three elongated fingers evenly spaced on a round-palm hand.

Below the arms were three holes about a half-inch in diameter. Further down were breeding apparatuses that were both male and female. At the bottom of the heart-shaped body were three long legs with double-jointed knees, and at their ends were feet, with three elongated toes attached to a round foot and double-jointed ankle.

At the bottom of the body, centered between the legs, was a wrinkled outlet for their elimination of waste. The aliens looked really good in their outfits, or kits, and so did the humans.

After they all shook hands, the captains of each team went in front of the referees for the coin toss. They use a Morgan silver dollar from the year 1890. The humans won the coin toss by calling tails, and the game was ready to begin.

The whistle blew, and the game was on. The aliens hopped and scurried about the pitch, and the humans did their best to move the ball around them. The game was fast-paced, and after five minutes, the humans got a corner kick, but nothing came of it.

After ten more minutes passed, the aliens got a penalty kick outside the box. One of the aliens kicked the ball with one of its feet and scored. There was no celebrating, and the game continued. A little more time passed, and one of the Argentinian human players kicked the ball into the box, and one of the aliens head the ball into the net as a own goal.

The human players all gathered together in excitement, and the crowd cheered. The score was then one to one. It was finally halftime and the small spaceship came back down and the alien players went back on board. Several other aliens got off the ship with strange musical instruments and played a weird version of some Michael Jackson songs.

After halftime was over, both teams return to the pitch. It didn’t take long before the aliens scored again, without celebration. It was then that the manager of the human team made two changes in players. Both were women from the United States.

About fifteen minutes go by, and one of the women human players kicked the ball from midfield, and caught the alien goalie out from the net, and she scores. The score is now two to two. Several minutes later, there was a penalty in the alien’s box and the humans got a free kick.

An older human male player from Brazil takes the kick and scored. The score is now three to two; the humans are in the lead. It didn’t take the aliens long, and they scored from a corner kick that was headed into the back of the net.

The ninety minutes was up, and five minutes was added on. The score was now three to three. The time ticks by and then the last ten seconds, one of the younger human players from Barcelona, sent the ball into the box where one of the United States women players headed the ball into the back of the net.

The whistle blows, and the game was over. The score ended up being four to three in the human’s favor. The stadium was in a roar, and humans celebrated around the world. The alien players congratulated the human players and then go onto their spaceship.

The spokesalien came out onto the field and congratulated the humans for their win and said that now they would do what they say, and give us all the technology and medicine to make us a stable future.

It took many months to get all the technology to all the right people and places in the world, and to get all the medicine to the people who needed it. For the first time in human history, we were at peace. No war, or famine, or poverty, and illness.

All the world’s governments worked together and shared all the goods the aliens gave us. The new United Nations became the new global humane-ity made up of all countries.

So, that is what happened to have the world we have today. All humans are at peace, and the aliens live among us, and all animals are treated with respect. The world is now healed, with every human having an active role in the global humane-ity.

Humans even travel through space with the aliens, adding to evolution their creativity, love, and compassion. The human race is an active member of the unified galaxy organization, made up of many different aliens and humans of different nationalities.

    By Chance

It is a warm spring morning on the top side of a hill. On one side of the hill is a farm, and on the other side is a forest. Midway down the hill is a stump of enormous past. Next to the stump is a tractor, all rusted from years of being outside in the rain and dust.

Approaching this stump and tractor is a goat, who is friendly and wise with humor and insight.

Opposite of the goat approaches an elk, who is strong and intelligent with age to back up his stoic stance.

And from yet another side of the stump approaches a rabbit, who is cautious and aware with no apparent faults.

On top of the stump leaps an orange tabby house cat, who is confident and witty with all his needs fulfilled without any effort.

I know what this is sitting next to this once mighty tree, says the cat, as he sits and licks his right front paw.

I do too know, what it is, says the goat with a nod of his head, as he scratches at the ground with his left front foot.

Well then, one of you tell us what this giant thing is, says the rabbit as she twitches her nose and pivots her ears.

Yes indeed, tell us what this beast is, and explain its existence, says the elk, with a stern stare and a lowering of his massive rack of horns.

It is a machine invented by humans, to slave in labor and routine duties, says the goat, lifting his head with confidence.

It is to an animal like me and you, once it lived for food the humans call ‘fuel’, says the cat, staring at the tractor then the elk and rabbit as he swished his tail.

What a beast it must have been. So strong, I wonder if it was wise? asks the rabbit, twitching her nose as she smells the rusty tractor.

It was a beast indeed, moving mountains and digging holes. It even plowed the grasses underground, so humans could grow things, says the goat, who steps over to the tractor and sniffs at one of its tire rims.

I wonder if it spoke mighty words and told stories of all its accomplishments? asks the elk as he turns and steps over to the tractor with his mighty horns pivoting from side to side.

It growled and roared it did and smoke came out of one of its ends that smelled out of this world, says the cat who leaps onto the tractor’s seat.

Were you afraid of it? asks the rabbit, who lifts onto her back feet and cotton-like tail.

Oh yes, I kept my distance when it roared and growled. But now it is dead, so there is nothing to fear. The cat says, as he lowers his ears. "I use to run as fast as I could when
