About this ebook
This little book is about a truly blessed paradise, a place of solace for two people who are eternal soulmates. Lakewood is truly a unique, tranquil and beautiful place. It is a mixture of trees, rolling pastures, and a pristine lake. The authors call Lakewood home and have shared it with family and friends for over thirty-seven years. Lakewood is not just a place full of natural beauty and mystique, but it is a place of precious dreams and memories. There are stories about the seven-acre lake's construction during the gasoline shortage of WWII. An amazing combination of mules, men and muscle were the required fuel for its construction. Other stories recount memorable wild animals, pets, and adventures that the couple, who called Lakewood home, experienced over the thirty-seven years' worth of adventures. The authors sincerely hope that this little book brings you peace and solace in this wonderful but sometimes hectic world and you can share in experiencing the magic of Lakewood. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lakewood: Reggie and Anita's CamelotListened to this as an audiobook and wonder if each chapter also shows the animal being discussed. What I like about this book is there is so much nature that is treasured. Daily events and sightings bring joy to those who are able to see it unfold in front of them.Like hearing of the animals and some are not common in our area although we do have others who are also troublesome at times.Time when kids played outside, no digital distractions. a time when we (my siblings) and I grew up.Very detailed descriptions as they watch life in front of their eyes. Lakewood sounds like such an awesome place to live, grow up.Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.

To my grandparents—Daniel and Annabel Hinson. Through these remarkable people, the fields, forest, and lake, that is named Lakewood, came to me.
They too, loved this place and shared many Sunday afternoons sitting in their trusty pickup truck and lovingly gazing across it from their favorite mountain perch.
Anita and I built our house on Lakewood thirty-seven years ago and grew memories here as abundant as the fish in the lake, leaves on the trees, and blades of grass in the fields.
I hope that my grandparents are proud of my efforts to love and preserve this gift that they passed on to me. I hope that my poems and Lakewood stories offer you a window to my Lakewood and grant you a measure of serenity in this busy world, that we all share.
Lakewood: A Blessed Place
Over the years the lake at Lakewood has played its role in saving souls.
Pastors from many local country churches baptized believers in the lake.
How can such a lake not be blessed?
