Who am I? My name is Benjamin Jones and I'm what's known as an independent (for the time being) author who is working tirelessly to make this dream of mine to be the world's greatest writer a reality (right now I'm simply the greatest writer that 99.99998% of the world hasn't heard of but I'm working to get that percentage a little lower). The word quicken is used in the King James Version of the Bible, and it means revive or make alive. To quicken something means to bring it to life or restore it to a former flourishing condition.

The following account is true. The names have been changed to protect personal privacy. The goal of the book is twofold: (1) to provide encouragement through the sharing of my personal testimony of God’s love and redemptive power and (2) to provide a tool to assist whomever in their journey through this life. The chapters are divided into two types, if you will: The odd-numbered chapters are an autobiographical narrative. The even-numbered chapters are outlines of messages shared with the men at the local detention center.

It is recommended that the reader pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation when going through the outlines (Ephesians 1:17) so that the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18) and that the Holy Spirit would
