Author’s Note
Hello readers, my name is Larry, and I’d like to share the story of my conversion to Christ with you, which took place on December 20, 1970. I want to tell you about the incredible events that have taken place in the past forty-nine years since I chose to follow Christ in an effort to show people what God can do in their lives if they would just let him.
The Wild Ride

When I was around thirteen, I told my dad that I did not want to go to church anymore; he asked why and I told him I did not believe all the stuff that he believed. He sat me down and said earnestly, Starting today, I will pray for you that someday you will know my God, and then when you do, they will not be able to keep you out of church!
I went about my life outside of church, hanging out at the pool hall and getting into trouble with the law. One day, while in high school, the police came and pulled me out of school, arrested me, and took me to jail for stealing beer, along with four other guys.
When an officer asked me about the theft, I told him I hadn’t had anything to do with it, to which he asked, But you did know about it, right?
Yes,
