About this ebook

In the late twenty-first century, the world had neglected to pay enough attention to climate change and was in bad shape. The temperature of the earth and the oceans was high and rising fast. The ocean levels were rising; tornadoes, hurricanes, and flooding were increasing. The world population had reached ten billion and was overcrowded. The crime rate in the United States was very high. One result of this was the construction of cities in orbit, which were very large cylinders that rotated about their axes. Millions of people had moved up there to get away from the earth, including Thomas Stevens, whose father was a key figure in the construction of the Cities in Orbit and who encouraged Tom to get an apartment in the sky. This is the action-packed story of Tom and his women.

    Thomas Stevens and Mary Harter

    Newark, New Jersey

    September 12, 2079

The third-grade teacher said, Okay, class, now I want everyone to multiply four hundred and eighty-two by five. The first person who gets can show the class how they did it on the board.

After three seconds, Tom raised his hand. You got it already, Tom? the teacher said. Okay, come up here and show us how you did it.

Tom went to the board and wrote 482/2 = 241. 241 x 10 = 2410. He went back to his seat and sat down.

The teacher frowned. That’s the right answer, but, Tom, you didn’t multiply by five.

Tom said, But five is ten divided by two, so if you divide by two and multiply by ten, it’s the same thing.

The teacher hesitated, looking at the board, By golly, Tom, you’re right! He said to the class, Tom just showed us a shortcut for multiplying by five!

After class, Mary Harter came over to Tom. Gosh, Tom, that was a neat trick. You’re a really smart guy.

Thanks, Mary. Things like that just pop into my brain.

She stared at Tom for a few seconds. Then she seemed a little embarrassed—she turned around and walked away. Mary really liked Tom. She wanted to be friends with him but didn’t know what to say. Tom thought Mary was really cute and smart. He wondered why she was embarrassed. He wondered about going after her but didn’t know what to say to her. Tom skipped the fourth grade.

In high school, he became friends with Mary, and they often studied together. She had long dark hair, a very pretty face, and a nice body. Her breasts looked perfect, not too big and not too small, just right. He liked the way she walked, talked, and smiled. He knew she liked him as a friend, at least. He often thought about grabbing her and kissing her, but he didn’t want to risk making her mad.

In his senior year, they became partners in the chemistry lab. Tom was good at doing the calculations, and she was great at doing the measurements and setting up the experiments. He thought she had a beautiful body and face.

Mary thought about Tom a lot. He was very smart and very good-looking. She felt almost in love with him but never told him. She had fantasies about how she would act with him in bed. She hoped he would ask her for a date or make a pass at her, but he never did. She knew that he was shy.

The semester was coming to an end. The very last lab experiment was a difficult one for extra credit. He did the calculations and handed her the numbers. She measured things out fast, and they did the experiment. They were done quickly. The professor noticed they were done. He congratulated them and gave them an A. They walked to the back of the room. She looked at Tom with a yearning. They walked out of the classroom, and Mary put her hand in his. Tom was surprised but liked holding her hand. In the hallway, Mary stopped and went in front of Tom, stood real close, and stared into his eyes. Tom got the idea, pulled her close, and kissed her. It was a long one.

Then she said, Hey, Tom, nobody will be home at my house this Saturday night. Why don’t you come over? We can study for finals together. Come on over around eight, okay?

He was surprised but happy about her invitation. He wondered what she had in mind, not studying for finals to be sure. Tom told his parents that he was going to study for finals with a friend. He arrived at her house at eight o’clock.

Hi, Tom, I’m glad you could make it. Come on in. Have a seat. How about a coke? He sat on the couch in the living room, and she handed him a glass of coke with ice.

He said, Wow, that tastes good. Nice and cold.

She toasted. Here is a toast to our success in finals! They clinked the glasses together. She put her glass down on the coffee table.

Tom, do you know how good-looking you are?

No, I never thought about it. Am I?

I think you might be the best-looking guy in the whole world! Do you think I am good-looking?

Yes, you are very pretty. In fact, I wanted to kiss you for a long time.

    You did? Why didn’t you?

I didn’t know how you would take it. You might get mad at me and not want to be friends.

She was very close. He put his glass down, put his arm around her, and kissed her. It was a long kiss.

Oh god, Tom, you turn me on something fierce! She grabbed his arm and stood him up. Let’s go into my room. I have something to show you.

He wondered what the hell she wanted to show him.

In her bedroom, she turned to face him. I want to show you me, and I want to see you.

She sat him on the bed and pulled his tennis shirt off over his head, My, my, your chest is beautiful. Do you want to see mine?

    Gees, Mary, I don’t know. I guess I do.

She took off her blouse and her bra. He put his hands on her beautiful tits. She pulled him onto the bed. He pulled her close and put one breast in his mouth.

Oh Jesus, Tom! Oh Jesus, Jesus! Oh, Tom, I can’t help this, sorry.

She unbuckled his belt and pulled his pants down. Can you please take them off? I’ll be right back.

He took his pants off. She came back with nothing on. Do you like me nude, Tom?

Oh my god, you are beautiful!

She pushed him on the bed and pulled off his shorts. He showed an erection. Oh my goodness, such a nice thing. She climbed on top of him, put his penis insider of her, and started to move.

Oh, Jesus, Mary, oh Jesus Christ!

Oh my god, Tom, you are so great, oh god!

After it was over, he said, Oh, Mary, that was wonderful. I never had that before. That was my first.

So you’re a virgin, just like me. She rolled off next to him. He saw her gorgeous tits. He couldn’t help sucking them again.

He said, Your breasts are perfect.

Oh god, Tom, you are the greatest. I think I am in love with you.

Mary, you are beautiful, but we are not even out of high school. Maybe what we just did is illegal.

I am seventeen. How old are you?

Sixteen, almost. My birthday is Monday.

You’re not even sixteen? Jesus Christ! I could be arrested for raping a minor. How did you ever get to be a senior in high school at that age?

I skipped two grades, kindergarten and the fourth grade. Tom thought for a moment. Mary, you’re a minor too. Is there a penalty for a minor raping a minor?

She laughed. Gee, Tom, I have no idea.

I think if I consent, it is a misdemeanor, but I am not sure. Anyway, let’s get up.

No, I want some more of you. She pulled him on top of her. She groaned, Oh, Tom, you gorgeous creature. Please fuck me good, please!

He did fuck her good, having another orgasm.

Mary, what about the possibility of pregnancy? Have you taken precautions?

She looked at Tom and shook her head. No, I didn’t. If I get pregnant, I’ll just have your kid, and I’ll love it, knowing it is yours. Don’t worry about it. It is my responsibility.

Gee, Mary, it is my responsibility as well. Please let me know, okay?

    Sure, don’t worry.

Mary knew that her parents were very understanding. They had plenty of money, and she would have no problem having a baby. In fact, she was sort of hoping she was pregnant. She would love to have Tom’s child.

Tom’s father, John Stevens, was president of Orbit City Enterprises. They had built cities in orbit around the world. They were huge cylinders that rotated about their central axis to simulate gravity. Tom loved his grandpa Jack Stevens and his grandma Emma. Grandpa Jack was very rich from his real estate holdings. He loved his grandkids, especially Tom. He felt that Tom was really smart and would go places.

    CHAPTER 2

    The Fight and Telekinesis

Bruce Doyle was a big guy and a bully. He picked on anybody he felt like and beat them up. He hated Tom, and whenever he could, he would knock him down. Chris Major felt sorry for Tom and made friends with him quickly. He was one grade higher than Tom. Chris would often try to defend him whenever he could, but he was no match for Bruce.

Near the end of the second semester of his senior year, they had just finished playing basketball in the PE class. Tom was in the locker room and had just opened his locker. Bruce came over, slammed it shut, and laughed. He was with his two buddies, Monk and Pete, who also laughed. Tom opened it again, and Bruce slammed it shut again. Chris saw what was going on and yelled, Leave him alone, you bastard!

Call me a bastard, eh? He moved toward Chris, but Chris ran out of the locker room fast. He decided to notify the coach. He found him and told him what was going on in the locker room. The coach said, That son of a bitch, let’s go!

Tom opened his locker again, but Bruce turned around and slammed the locker door closed again. Tom eventually gave up and sat down on a bench next to his locker and folded his arms.

Bruce said, So you’re giving up, ay. We’ll take this! He pushed him off the bench, knocking him to the floor. Tom got really mad. He could feel the adrenaline rushing to his brain. Bruce was looking at his friends and laughing. Tom got up fast and swung his fist as hard as he could at Bruce, hitting him in the left side of his jaw. He heard a loud crack. Bruce went down. He lay on the floor, groaning. His friends were shocked. They looked down at Bruce then at Tom.

Monk said, You son of a bitch! You’ll pay for that!

Tom backed into an empty space in the locker room and shouted, It was his fault, not mine. He started it as usual. Tom blocked a swing by Monk and punched Monk hard in the ribs. He heard a crack. Monk yelled in pain, grabbed his side, and sat down on the floor. Pete looked amazed. He pushed Tom against a locker. He raised his fist to hit Tom, Pete’s feet were pretty far apart. Tom knew what to do. He blocked his swing and kicked him between the legs hard. Pete grabbed his crotch, yelling, and he fell down on his knees.

Tom was shocked at what he had done. Then in less than a minute, the coach and Chris came running into the locker room. What’s going on here? Who knocked these guys down, you?

Tom said, I guess so. I don’t know how I did it. They wouldn’t let me get into my locker. Bruce knocked me down. I got really pissed off.

The coach laughed and said, Well, congratulations. That bully deserved it! Bruce looks in bad shape. Let me call a medic.

Bruce was carried out on a stretcher. Monk walked out with his hands on his chest. The third guy, Pete, recovered and walked out by himself.

When they left, Chris said, Christ, Tom, how the hell did you do that?

I don’t know. I just got really mad. I couldn’t take that son of a bitch any longer.

Chris patted him on the shoulder. Well, congratulations. He deserved it. I have to leave. See you later.

Chris left, and Tom looked down at his hands. He didn’t know how the hell he did it. He felt something strange surrounding him. He remembered that he didn’t feel his fist hit Bruce. In fact, he felt a push back against his hand at the moment of impact. The same was true when he hit Monk. He realized that there was some kind of force field around his hand that did the hitting. He was amazed and confused. He opened his locker, reached down to get his shoes, but they floated up into his hands. He yelled, What the hell is this? He remembered reading about those paranormal things. One was called telekinesis. It was supposed to be fictional, but it seemed he had it. Why?

The next day, Tom found out that Bruce had a broken jaw, and Monk had a cracked rib. He was asked to see the school principal.

So what do you have to say for yourself, Tom?

Tom was angry, and he showed it. It was self-defense, sir, but I don’t know how I did it. He knocked me down many times before yesterday. I just got really mad at that bastard.

The principal realized that Tom was very angry. Yes, everybody knows he is a bully. I’m glad you put him in his place. It’s too bad you had to break his jaw. We’ll forget the whole thing and hope we don’t get sued.

When he walked into the cafeteria at lunchtime, the whole room stood up and applauded him. He put up his hand, smiled, and nodded in thanks. Lots of guys came over and shook his hand.

Chris shook his hand too. I don’t know how you did it, but you showed that SOB! He’ll never bother you again!

As he started to leave, Mary came running over to him, grabbed him, and hugged him. "Jesus, Tom, you’re not only
