Lord God, in the beginning You.

Lord, it is impossible to fathom this attribute that is You. You are, and that is it. How can I worship Your infiniteness? As Your creation, I have no need to understand; I kneel and acknowledge and worship Your limitless, boundless and never-ending authority over all that is an existence, starting with my own heart. Thank you for allowing me to be in such an omnipotent atmosphere.

Lord God, please prepare my heart daily for this life-changing encounter before the Throne of the Almighty. Holy Spirit, without Your guidance and Your help, I dare not even gaze toward the heavens with any expectations of meeting with my Lord. Sovereign Father, Sovereign Son, Sovereign Holy Spirit, I come before You, now humbled with joyful expectation that You will transform my heart for Your service.

Lord God, as I look out at Your creation, I’m reminded that in the beginning, You made all that exists, and that on that sixth day, You declared it all very good.

Father, with all the sin that has come into Your world, Your oeuvre still declares Your Glory, and it is still very good.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your redemption. I thank You that through Your blood, the Father can see me as very good.

Holy Spirit, today do the same work in me as You did during creation. Mold and fashion me so that at the end of each day, my love, obedience, and passion for God can be declared very good.

Lord God, I know that You are more loving than I can even imagine, and I trust You with all my heart; I don’t trust my understanding of any of my life situations. That is why I acknowledge You in all that I do because I know You will guide me in the way that I should go.

Holy Spirit, when I refuse to cast my cares on You, knowing how much You care for me, it forms an idolatrous relationship with my problems and that keeps me unfocused. Teach me to concentrate on Your ability to handle anything that comes my way.

Father, I will continuously keep in the forefront of my mind Your promises of love, guidance, and protection. You are the Creator of all things, and if I trust and obey, You will not allow my life to become unstable.

Lord Jesus, I pray by the power of Your name because of the promise of comfort that it brings to my life. I need the peace of God to rest in my heart, and that can only happen through the power of Your name.

Lord God, after all that I have done, why am I not dead this morning as a judgment on a heart that is so fickle?

Father in heaven, why give me hope? I look for help, and You’re there—why? Why comfort me with salvation? Why take away my fear? Why do You use Your righteous right hand to help me?

Lord Jesus, why am I worthy to ask anything in Your name? My heart is selfish at its core. Why give me authority when it’s so easy for me to seek my own glory? Why have You given me life when there is a possibility that I will waste it?

Holy Spirit, You reside in me—why? I drag You into sin on a daily basis; why haven’t You abandoned me? Why do You give me hope and protect me from my decisions? Why do you continue Your transformative work in my heart and mind when so often I resist?

Lord God, all I can say is thank You for waking me this morning and giving me another chance.

Lord God, it is very comforting to know that there is nowhere that I can go that You will not be there.

Master of Mercy, I set out today to accomplish Your Will. I know, should I fail or make a mistake, that I can rely on Your mercy because You do not stay angry forever; instead, You delight in showing mercy. I know I will be guided to accomplish Your Will and bring glory to the Bread of Life through the guidance of the Spirit of Truth.

Spirit of Truth, as I go through this day to accomplish the plans that You have for me, I’m trusting You to order my steps. My goal is to finish my day having accomplishing the will of the Master of Mercy, bringing glory to the Bread of Life.

Bread of Life, because of Your daily provisions, I am confident that I will be able to represent You. I will listen to the Spirit of Truth so that I am not deterred by my own agenda. At day’s end, I will bring You glory by accomplishing the mission and the will of the Master of Mercy.

Lord God, today I come in Your presence asking for strength and forgiveness in this time of temptation.

Father, You have made it clear that temptation can press up against me, but it will not crush me, nor will I be overwhelmed to the point of destruction. You have promised to save me whenever I cry out to You. Father God, I’m crying now.

Lord Jesus, I understand that in temptation there will be suffering, but You taught that overcoming it is a matter of trusting You. And even if I succumb to my desires, Your blood covers me, and I do not have to live under condemnation. You have promised to be my strong tower whenever I cry out to You. Savior God, I’m crying now.

Holy Spirit, remind me that this trial will not be long-term. Assure my heart that I will get through this. Remind me that my failure will not be my condemnation, and that I will not be repaid as my iniquity deserves. Please make my escape route clear. You have promised to guide me whenever I cry out to You. Spirit of God, I’m crying now.

Lord God, I call on You because I want to know the unsearchable things that only You have answers to.

Father, why is my anger so difficult to restrain? I know that my anger does not bring about the righteous life that You desire; protect me from the consequences of my outbursts of anger, and I will do better for You, Father.

Lord Jesus, my unrestrained anger is causing my light to dim, and I am losing my saltiness. Lord, the very nature of my call is to bring the peace of the Gospel to a world that desperately needs it. Give me Your temperament, and I will do better for You, Lord Jesus.

Holy Spirit, I need a generous endowment of wisdom. As Your Word says, You will give Your wisdom to me without hesitation. The anger that is unrestrained in me shows my need for Your wisdom. Infuse Your wisdom into me, and I will do better for You, Holy Spirit.

Lord God, I realize that my anger is my attempt to do things in my own strength. Give me what I ask, and I will do better for You, Lord God.

Lord God, You are my God; You have no equal and no rival. You stand apart as Lord of all. My worship is for You alone.

Lord God, because nothing is impossible for You, You make all things possible for me, by the strength and power that are in Your name. My commitment is to You alone.

Lord God, You know all there is to know about me. You knew me even before I was born and have crowned me with glory and honor throughout my life. My service is for You alone.

Holy God, almighty Lord and loving Creator, I may not have it all together, and I know that I fall sometimes. But if you’ll accept the service and worship of this committed and feeble heart, only my death will stop my passionate pursuit of You. Master, my life is for You alone.

Lord God, thank you for strengthening me with the power of the Holy Spirit. I am not worthy.

Father, it’s because of the gifts of the Spirit that I have confidence I will produce His fruits and accomplish Your Will today, Father. I am not worthy of such a great intercessor.

Lord Jesus, without Your sacrifice, the Spirit of truth could not eternally reside in me. I wouldn’t know how to approach You, live for You, or bring You proper Glory, Savior. I am not worthy of such a great counselor.

Holy Spirit, I cannot fathom my life without Your guidance and power. Without You, I cannot fulfill the will of the Father or bring glory to Christ. But what is most precious to me is the fact that Your glory resides in this temple. I am not worthy to be Your dwelling place.

Lord God, because of Your love and Your sacrifice, Your power and very nature reside in me. Thank you for making me worthy.
