About this ebook
This book will bring you to the point of not wanting or looking into another person's life to envy their life. It speaks of how a young woman suffers, but through her suffering she turns to God for strength to hold on to life and entrust her life in his hands, so he could fight her battles for her. This book is covered in prayer, which is one of the author's silhouettes for life. Most of her prayers were written during her lowest ebb in life. It will encourage you to trust God with your life, for without him life can be very sorrowful. It is also geared to encourage young readers and you, the reader, to live a life of prayer, praise, and worship to attain your destiny in God.

Breaking Through in God
To God, my heavenly Father,
And the most loving family I know, the Samuels, with all my love.
Preface
After he had dismissed them, he went up to a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone. But the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffered by the waves because the wind was against it. During the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. It’s a ghost,
they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them, Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.
If it’s you,
Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water.
Come,
he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and beginning to sink, cried out, Lord, save me!
Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith,
he said, why did you doubt?
(Matthew 14: 23–31)
Chapter 1
His Grace
Prayer: Father, thank you for this beautiful day. I praise you for your love, grace, and greatness. Bless me and let me be a blessing to someone today. Give me wisdom and strength to help me understand your love and grace. Guard my lips that I may speak only what is right and true. Cover my family under your precious blood. Let your healing power flow through us this day. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
Hello! I want to introduce you to someone who is dear to me, a very important and good friend of mine. He has always been there when I am in need of him. He encourages when I think that I am defeated; he reassures me that it is not over. He has looked over my family for decades. I have lived under his blessings and covering, and I can’t regret all that he has done for me.
The abundant love and grace of my friend and Savior supersedes all the pain I have encountered throughout the years of my life. Therefore, I am honored and take the deepest privilege to introduce you to my Savior, my king, my Lord, my friend, my source, my strength, and most importantly, he is my God. Jesus Christ.
From the fullness of his grace, we have received one blessing after another. And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace
(John 1:16).
Every decision I made in life is a direct choice by me as an individual. The life I live, the things I do, the food I eat, the clothes I wear, the things I do to my body and in my body are all choices. Therefore, the lifestyle I live now is a direct choice, and this choice determines not only my future but my destination.
In 1983, while walking to work one morning, I got a very bad cramp in my left leg, and from that day on my life has never been the same. I have always been a busy, bustling teenager getting involved in every form of community development activities and yet suffering with one leg getting swollen and painful. Consequently, I was unable to get out of bed sometimes for weeks. Most of my salary for years was spent going to the doctor, yet I knew not what was wrong. There wasn’t a day I did not worry as to what was the problem. The year 1986 was a peculiar one; I said maybe I should experience why other young people spent so much time raving about carnival shows—what the shows were all about, what they felt like. Although I did not like these shows, I found myself going to these shows; at the end, I got into an accident. I fell from a moving van and stayed in bed for three weeks. After the incident, I vowed never to entertain myself with such activities anymore—well, it was the last. Thank God! I never went again.
The most exciting year of my life was 1987. I developed such a hunger and passion for God. The campaign I started in the eastern district brought young men and women to recognize the need for God in their lives and so the church grew, but it did not end there. When you want more of God, you always get it; I realize that whenever you search for him, you will find him.
It was in the month of September 1987 when I gave my life over to the Lord fully; indeed it was a great experience. My parents were upset about it, but I was determined to serve God, so despite all what was said, I kept firmly on, reaching for more of God. I believed that whatever I was going through when I surrendered to God, he helped in every way and gave me the strength to stand for righteous living and to go all the way with him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for saving me, for taking me in even when I did not deserve it, but above everything else, you abide with me through it all. Dear Father, I thank you for keeping me within the shadow of your arm; therefore, I fear nothing because you are with me always. That’s why I give you all the praise which is due unto your holy name. Thank you for salvation, which is given freely to all nations and from one
