About this ebook

Healing Faith is about life’s little and big surprises. They are the kind of surprises that remind you that God is our creator. He knows us and our bodies better than anyone. When you have your health and Jesus, you have just about everything. That slowly, or sometimes suddenly, gets verified. God even sends little messengers across our path.

God is the great physician with no appointment necessary. He is everywhere all the time. He is in your heart as you cry out to him and he answers. He keeps answering you and reminding you of scriptures in his love letter and guide to life, his Bible—the best book in two thousand years. Finally you pray, “Your will be done, Lord! Let me live forever with you with no sickness or evil!”

Healing Faith is a patient and family perspective of melanoma cancer, deep vein thrombosis to pulmonary embolism, artificial insemination, and Tourette’s Syndrome. Four members of one family deal with the unexpected.

Healing Faith is hope and understanding for readers of God’s forever faithfulness, forgiveness, guidance, healing and power.

    Patient Perspective

When medical experiences happen, doctors, nurses, relatives, and friends want to help and comfort any way possible.

Love helps people get through health issues.

There are more and more available procedures, medications, recommendations, and decisions.

Cases vary according to patients, doctors, and available information and medical solutions.

This book Healing Faith is the rest of the story from the inside patient view that isn’t always shared.

The author, KTRome, is immensely grateful that in America patients and their families get to make their own medical choices. She is also extremely thankful for America’s freedom of speech to share different perspectives from personal experiences and to hear those of others.

    Melanoma Cancer

    Mole

On March 1, 2000, my husband had a mole removed. On March 7, we went to Dr. Geiger for results. I figured either it was benign or the malignant mole was removed.

    Melanoma

Dr. Geiger said it’s a 1.3 malignant cancer, Melanoma. Over 1.0 is likely to have spread. Dr. Miller, the surgeon would explain the details.

The next day, Dr. Miller explained we needed a sentinel biopsy to see if the cancer was in the lymph nodes.

On Wednesday of the following week, we consulted with Dr. Shu at John Wayne Cancer Institute, Santa Monica, California.

Monday, March 20, 2000, Randy checked into the hospital in Santa Monica at 9:00 a.m. He was scheduled for the ink procedure at 10:30 a.m. and surgery in the afternoon. After surgery, Dr. Shu said we would have answers after the pathologists did the biopsy of the lymph nodes. He had removed two from the armpit and two from the groin. He would give us the results by phone on Thursday and see Randy again the following Wednesday.

On Thursday, March 23, at 2:30 p.m., Dr. Shu called to say the biopsy was negative. Praise the Lord for an answered prayer. The cancer had not spread despite its depth.
