About this ebook

There are so many stories and rumors about the Bible that it really frustrates me. From the lost books of the Bible to interpretations that are not even close to the real thing. As Christians, we profess to believe in one God and one Bible. The million-dollar question is: how do we get well over nine thousand different religions that all claim to believe in the same thing? After fifteen years of research and scholastic training, I wrote this book with the purpose of getting out the truth about the Bible, going back to the original Greek and Hebrew and eyewitness accounts from people that lived in the time of Jesus. I categorically prove step-by-step how, despite the diverse sources and writers of the Bible, all the books of the Bible belong where they are and are divinely inspired or divinely written. Also, that every book, chapter, and verse belongs exactly where it is and fits together like a puzzle. There is an intricate web of mysteries that tie it all together. I thoroughly explain seven of these mysteries and how they hold the Bible together. It is time that the truth be known about the Bible and have the stories and rumors put to rest for once and for all. I spent over fifteen years of my life dedicated to that. This book is based solely on fact and history, with no interpretations added, unless I say it's my opinion.

    About the Author

    Introduction

In researching the Bible, I had not originally intended to get into any mysteries or get into any real depth. I heard a lot of conflicting information on the Bible. I can completely identify with anyone who is confused about the Christian faith.

I was born into one religion a few years later; from what I can remember, my family became members of another one. Then, because my family was moving all the time, I went to a private boarding school of the second faith-based school where Bible was a mandatory subject. Then I got married and became a member of a totally different religion for the sake of my wife and her family. When I went to training for that religion, I really got confused because what they taught me had very little to do with what I had learned before at home and in the private boarding school. Talk about being confused! Speaking about a particular religion such as Christianity, it is supposed to be based on the Bible and in one God. By definition, there is only one truth. So how do we get 1,500 religions for one book and one God? For a while, I did probably what a lot of people do, and that's just drop the whole subject and go about life. But I don't like being confused, especially about something that is supposed to be so important, so I sought out to find what the truth really was.

In 2004, I started trying to find out more about the Bible. In my research, I found more and more information about things that were in the Bible that I could not even imagine. It was like one mystery after another. Everyone likes a good mystery, but this was one mystery woven into another nonstop. The more I looked into it, I found that there a lot of people researching one particular aspect or another. My intent is to combine all the different research, as much as I can, into one area so we can get a full perspective of the Bible. I used to think that it was a great book of good stories with good lessons about life and how we should live it. People encouraged me to read the Old Testament, and I tried, but I told them it was too confusing. It is just a section filled with genealogies and battles and not of any real importance to me—that the New Testament really had more to say. Boy, was I wrong. I now realize that the Old Testament is the base for everything else. We will see that in this study along with a breakdown of all the different mysteries and wisdom that a lot of us miss out on by not understanding the Judeo-Christian traditions and history, including the language. The basic areas we will cover are as follows:

The Biggest Mystery of All, the Biblewhen looking at the Bible and its creation, considering the sixty-six books were written by thirty-five authors over a period of 1,600 years from three continents in three languages by people of all walks of life in times of war and peace, as well as times of joy and sorrow hope and despair. They all fit together perfectly like a well-written novel.

The Mysteries of the Aleph-Bet—this will include understanding the Hebrew letters of the aleph-bet (alphabet), their layout, their numerical values, and their unique meanings that are not just letters but each one has a deep spiritual significance.

Gematria—Gematria is a well-known Jewish interpretive method which uses the numerical values of Hebrew letters. Alef is one, bet is two, gimel is three. Gematria takes words, phrases, and even sentences and adds up the values of letters into a mathematical sum. By adding the numbers together, this technique seeks to determine a deeper meaning. Sometimes the connections may be farfetched, but other times they are clear and very valid.

Mysteries of Science in the Bible—I found this very exciting. There are medical, scientific, and mathematical facts written in the Bible over two thousand years ago that we've only known about in the last century.

Mysteries of Prophecies Fulfilled (Eschatology)—there are thousands of prophecies in the Bible. We will see how many of them actually came true and to what detail.

The Yeshua Codes—these were discovered a few hundred years ago. Initially it was very difficult to find them. Now with modern computers, there are literally thousands of them. You will have to read the section to find out more. They are for real, believe me.

Mysteries of the Hebrew Culture and Customs—understanding the fact that Jesus was a Jew and the Old Testament was written by Jews. By understanding the cultures and customs, we will get a whole different look at the Bible and the meaning.

    Background

Up until around 1800, pastors were required to study Hebrew as part of their pastoral studies. Around the mid-1800s, they stopped requiring Hebrew as part of the studies. Around the late 1800s and early 1900s, Hebrew was pretty much eliminated from pastoral studies, and the churches started to fragment into different branches. Currently there are over 1,500 different Christian religions. The problem is that it created a lot of different interpretations of the Bible. There are different interpretations of the Bible compared to the Hebrew and the Greek. In regard to the differences between additions, here is an example in Genesis 1–3 in the NIV version; it states, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was unformed and void, was darkness over the surface of the deep and away from God sweeping over the water…God said, ‘Let there be light,' and there was light. In the literal translation of the Tanakh, it states when God began to create heaven-zeros being unformed and void, with darkness over the surface of the deep, and the wind from God sweeping over the water…God said, ‘Let there be light,' and there was light. You can see a slight difference there that could lead to different interpretations. There is also a major problem in that some of these versions are not even close to the real Bible. Some of them have added books, others have taken away sections or entire books, and some of them changed sections on their own to their faith. As you will see, God said not one jot or tittle should be changed; and by doing these changes, most of these mysteries that we were discussing will not even exist.

The Bible is very clear about making changes in the Bible in any way, shape, or form and has woven into it an intricate and mysterious system of parallels and codes. This is made possible due to the complexity of the Hebrew language. Here is one example in Matthew 5:18 it says it. In the NIV version, Matthew 5:18 states, For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. The same verse in the KJV says, For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled.

One might think with the power of today's supercomputers that claim they could do anything, but you will gradually see more and more how there is no way any human being or even the best supercomputer could duplicate it. In fact, I have heard that people have tried to do so and failed miserably.

God, in His omniscience and omnipotence, has woven into Scripture an intricate web of puzzles and codes to make sure that His Word remains constant. It's like today in the computer age; in a lot of documents, they put hidden encoding to either protect the format or the actual material itself because of copyrights. In my opinion, it is His own personal encryption that actually beats anything out today. And no copyright either.

The Biggest Mystery of All, the Bible

The Biggest Mystery of All, the Bible

For Christians, the Bible is not a systematic treatise on theology or morals or history or science or any other topic. It is a REVELATION of God of the fall of man, the way of salvation, and of God's plan and purpose in the ages. It treats of the following:

Four Persons—God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, and Satan.

    Three Places—heaven, earth, and hell.

Three Classes of People—the Jew, the Gentile, and the Church of God.

The Bible has been one of the most disputed and debated-over books in history. It has been the subject of conflict and major revival throughout history. Before we get into the details of the Bible itself and its individual mysteries, let us look at history. Christians have always claimed that the Bible is divinely inspired. If we look at Scripture itself, we find references to that in 2 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:20–21. It is obvious that one cannot validate a book by its own writings if it is about history; we need to look at history and take an objective look at the accuracy of that particular book—in this case, the Bible. One question I had is, Why the mysteries? One thing that is very clear in the Christian faith is that God gives us a choice. He wants us to make a clear and conscious decision for ourselves. The Bible states that by faith, we are healed, not by works. Christ says, by asking, we will be answered; knock, and it will be opened. Let's look at what the Bible says in plain text about mysteries. I'm quoting from the NIV version.

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, Who is this who darkens my counsel by words without knowledge? (Job 38:1–2)

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me if you know. Or who determined its measurements? (Job 38:4–5)

To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna…Turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding and if you cry out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. (Revelation 2:17)

Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name, call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and hidden things which you have not known. (Jeremiah 33:2–3)

It is God's privilege to conceal things, and the King's privilege is to discover and invent. You cannot understand the height of heaven, the size of the earth, or all that goes on in the King's mind! (Proverbs 25:2)

    Breakdown of the Bible

First let us look at some structural facts, history, and source of the Bible:

The Bible is a library of sixty-six books.

Thirty-nine Old Testament books: seventeen historical, five political, seventeen prophetic.

Twenty-seven New Testament books: four Gospels, one historical (Acts), twenty-one epistles (letters), one prophetic (Revelation).

The topics include religion, history, law, science, poetry, drama, biography, and prophecy.

The Bible was written by over thirty-five authors from different walks of life—including educated and uneducated, kings and peasants, public officials and farmers, and teachers and physicians.

The Bible was written in many different places—including the wilderness (Moses), a dungeon (Jeremiah), the prison (Paul), and an island (John). It was written in times of war and peace as well as in times of joy, sorrow, hope, and despair.

The Bible was also written on three continents—Asia, Africa, and Europe—and in three different languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.

A total of sixty-six books were written by over thirty-five authors over a period of about 1,600 years, and yet as you will see, the parts of the Bible are as harmonious as the parts making up the parts of a well-written novel. We'll see, as we go through the other mysteries, how they prove that these books of the Bible were divinely ordained to go together in the order that they went together with no other books included.

Imagine another book compiled in a similar manner. Suppose, for illustration, that we take sixty-six medical books written by forty different physicians and surgeons during a period of 1,600 years in various schools of medicine—such as allopathy, homeopathy, hydropathy, osteopathy, etc.—and bind them all together and then undertake to doctor a man according to that book. What success would we expect to have, and what accord would there be in such a medical work?

The only answer I can come up with is that the books of the Bible have to be divinely inspired, but you be the judge. This is indeed the biggest mystery I found. How all these books from such diverse sources and times in history from all over could fit together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Christians believe that while the Bible is a revelation from God, it is not written in a superhuman or celestial language. If it were, we could not
