About this ebook
Weather or Not, God is in Control, is a book like no other that you have ever read.
Weather or Not, draws you in to the weather and natural phenomenon with scientific descriptions of what causes natural disasters and then uses various biblical stories of how Jesus, His disciples and followers, even the apostle Paul and Old Testament prophets like Elijah and Elisha were affected by weather.
Weather or Not, shows us how even though we see or endure chaos of events, God is still in control.
Grab some coffee or tea, sit back and enjoy reading. Pray to see how God will work and show you His sovereignty, His love and protection.

Foreword, Intensity by Margaret Giles
Iam proud and honored to be asked by my friend Mark McLaughlin to write this forward for his incredible book, Weather or Not, God is in Control,
I struggled to get the right words to describe and draw interest.
Weather or Not, God is in Control, makes you think. It makes you awaken to the world around you. Once I read this, I was in awe of how awesome our God is continually speaking boldly to His children.
This book and it’s author are calling out passionately for us to read God’s Word, to hear God’s Word of passion communicating Grace, Mercy and Love to His children.
I am excited for everyone to read and take a new awareness of the world we have been given, blessed to dwell and to take care of it.
The way Mark has presented and combined facts and adventure through his writing have been a great tool of discovery. I hope you too will join with me as I praise Jesus through Mark’s talent of writing. I know this has brought a new and fascinating awareness of the world we dwell in as well as an excitement to read the Word, as He speaks and Mark writes in Weather or Not, God is in Control.
Are we listening?

Calm before the Storms, an Introduction
We make small talk about weather, just to break the ice, all pun intended. Weather affects so many facets of our lives, our work, our play time. It effects scheduling and our moods and thought processes. Weather affects our rest and vacations. What can you think of that weather is tied into?
If it’s brutally hot, or frigid cold, weather affects if we stay inside or how we dress. If the day is stormy or if it’s sunny and cloudless, we look to the forecast to see how long we can enjoy being outside. Weather affects the air quality, or we could also say, air quality affects the weather. How we view weather is how we enjoy our day.
Much like weather, our faith also influence our daily lives. Our faith of how we view God can influences our day to day decisions. The days when our faith is strong, we believe we can see miracles happen in and around us. On other days, we may get a bad news or we may not have been praying, and so our day may not go as we desired. Our faith may falter, but no matter which happens, if storms or shaking comes, we can be sure our God is in Control.
Storms and natural events happen all throughout the year, all throughout the world. Each season brings within them, times when it seems like the earth is falling apart at its seams, our should we say faults.
God only knows exactly what will or what can happen. He is in complete control. Our lives may be thrown into complete chaos and into the unknown, but He is in Control. The question for us, we as humans, are we prepared in peace? Or, when we meet the chaos, will we fall to pieces like a building in a 9.5 earthquake? Are we ready for the Aftermath of tornados, wildfires, Floods, Hurricanes or whatever disasters that may come?
In this book, Weather or Not, God is in Control, we will find out how our physical, Spiritual, mental and emotional survival strength are and whom we trust in the most.
So, come join me now for a new type of reading. A line of stories and chapters like none other that has been written. These stories of survival, strength, Spirit and Hope. These are stories of how we can find Peace, Hope and Comfort, even joy during or after the disasters.
We will read of earthquakes, tornados, floods, hurricanes, wildfires, even volcanos and such. We will read of snow storms, blizzards and tsunamis. The great floods which have ravaged not only America but other nations as well.
How do these storms and occurrences affect our internal storms? What have these storms taken from us? How can we respond in times of crisis? Will we be ready? Will we be the ones helping others, or will we be the ones receiving assistance?
So, now come with me in reading this book, Weather or Not, God is in Control! Whether we believe it or not, whether we trust Him or not, we can be assured God is in complete control.

Acts of God, Part 1
From Jesus crucifixion through the Acts of the Apostles in the New Testament Church.
Shaken, Earthquakes
In January 2010, the island nation of Haiti was struck by a highly intense earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale. In March of 2011, on a Friday afternoon, the Pacific Coast city of Tohoku, Japan was hit with an even more devastating quake, which measured 9.0 to 9.1. This was a major quake, but what was to follow was an even greater and more devastating event. The tsunami which followed leveled all that which did not get broken in the quake. Just a few weeks before on February 22, 2011, a 6.2 quake struck Christchurch of New Zeeland. Years later, earthquakes would continue to destroy cities in Columbia, in Italy and February of 2018, Oaxaca, Mexico was hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.
In recent months of 2020, various cities in the United States have been feeling shaken. The are discussed in more detail found in the appendix of this book. From the West Texas town of Mentone experiencing one of its first shaking in a good while, to towns and areas going north into the Rocky Mountain Range, towns like Salt Lake City, Utah and north into Idaho. There is a shaking happening.
These major quakes seem to come in the early months of the year. Whichever
