About this ebook

Experience a firsthand journey through one woman's encounter with nature's frames of perception and ultimate peace contentment as she survives her myriad of challenges, isolation, abandonment, and despair.

The odyssey is all-encompassing within the woods where the saddened woman first meets Jesus, disguised as a semi-clothed bicycle rider in the peak of the woods on her daily climb on the mountain.

Despite the plethora of unfavorable turns of events, her loyalty and devotion to God overrides her anxiety, disbelief, grief, poverty, racism, natural disasters, and pandemics that beset her journey.

Within her wanderings, she encounters the Holy Scriptures, which unravels corpuscles of fortune serving to enable her consequential cognizance of Jesus Christ the Lord at work.

This collection of scriptures will bring encouragement and tranquility to the reader throughout every moment of their life.

The reader will become one with God, as one of his chosen people through her Holy Land experience, and will be filled with joy and spirituality.

The descriptions are culturally entertaining upon reading and are designed to explore the words and sentiments of the Lord, bringing a sense of relief, hope, faith, and a vision of blessings, bringing wisdom and destiny to which for generations to come may encounter the Scriptures. A must-read!

All men are like grass and all their glory is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of the Lord stands forever. (1 Peter 1:24-25)

    About the Author

I rise before dawn and cry for help. I wait for your words.

    1

I cry out to Christ Jesus and pray as I try to free myself from the darkness. Suddenly, the face of Jesus Christ appears. The light obliterates the weight, then the darkness vanishes like mist. I wake up with a start, feeling energized and invigorated, knowing I will now begin my anticipated journey up the mountain. I leave my house within the hour and feel the oppressive air strangling my ability to breathe. Yet I am in a spiritually elevated state, and I feel euphoric. I know my way through the woods, cognizant that the path I am to tread is covered entirely in cooling summer branches. Resultantly, I feel a lessening of the stifling atmosphere.

Reaching the woods that lie at the base of the mountain, I begin to briskly walk along the path. I witness the settling down and the stillness of the trees around me. Then, unexpectedly, I begin to hear the running of footsteps coming toward me. The sound makes me promptly turn, and an oncoming runner quickly sidesteps past me. While the power, energy, and speed that breezed by has completely decelerated my pace, I use this downtrend to briefly view the runner. To my astonishment, I begin to stare at the bald-headed, half-naked figure as it disappears around the corner. Amazed at what I have seen, I hasten my pace. Then suddenly, I stop myself, uncertain if I should begin to walk along the path alone. Now afraid to turn the bend along the woods, I continue to head toward the base of the mountain and proceed along the path in the woods.

As I move to the base of the mountain and begin my upward trek, I can see the crest of the mountain looming ahead. As I make strides toward my destination, I can hear the eagles screaming, making piercing sounds like trumpets with scrutiny. I feel as if the majestic forest beneath its noble-minded mountain is beckoning to me from the heavens. Unremittingly and out of breath, I am exuberant and exhilarated as the onset of the wind gently caresses my face and hair. A silent prayer graces my mind:

Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:51–52)

Halfway up the mountain, at the plateau, I have arrived before the others. The drowsy stillness of the trees along the path that circled the lake for two miles paved a semicircle pathway, much like a tributary deepened
