About this ebook
Pop star Krysta Evans was the girl who had everything. She had fame, money, legions of adoring fans around the world, and a gorgeous movie-star boyfriend. But still there was something missing. It was love""genuine, unconditional love. And she was looking for it in ALL the wrong places. One fateful night, that all changed. She found herself pregnant and alone. Her fame had fleeted, and the fans had forgotten her. She leaves Hollywood behind in search of something greater and finds God waiting with his arms wide open ready to receive his lost daughter. Two worlds collide when she meets Bethany, who grew up in the church and who loved God and loved everything about Him. At nineteen years old, that all changed when her parents died in an earthquake. In her pain, she turned away from God, and she found Derrick; a God-hating, self-serving, bank robber. After having enough of his abuse and manipulation, she ran away from him literally. She ran right into a church. In this church, the worship is being led by none other than former pop star Krysta Evans. She is now going by her birth name Crystal Matthews. An instant kinship is formed between the two women. It is through friendship and sacrifice that they both learn to love unconditionally.

Unconditionally - Lynn Schmidt
Chapter 1
Crystal Matthews, or as the world knew her Krysta Evans, was looking out the window of her hotel room. She didn’t know nor care what city she was in. She looked around and saw no recognizable landmarks. All she saw was an ocean of lights as far as the eye can see. She had been recording and touring for almost ten years straight, and she was exhausted; not just physically but emotionally and maybe spiritually as well.
She grew up not knowing who God was, yet alone who Jesus Christ was. It wasn’t until she met TJ Treble that she learned about God.
She met him on the red carpet of an award show a few months ago. When he was interviewing her, she noticed a cross around his neck. She asked him about it, and he invited her to a park to talk afterward. When she arrived, he was sitting by himself on a bench. He greeted her with a smile and hug as she walked over and sat down next to him. He told her to look around her. He told her to look at the trees and stars. He told her to feel the wind on her face and in her hair. Then he handed her his Bible and told her to read Genesis chapter 1 verses 1 through 25.
When she finished reading, she looked up at him. He was looking upon her the way no man had done before. He looked upon her not with lust in his heart but of compassion. In his beautiful green eyes, she saw hope. With a warm smile he continued, he asked her if she had a mirror. She dug in her purse and pulled one out. He told her to clean off her makeup and look at her reflection. She obeyed with some hesitation.
She didn’t like looking at herself in the mirror. Her Boyfriend Jason never liked seeing her without her makeup. He would always convince her that she looked better with it on. TJ went on to tell her that God made her too. He had her read Genesis chapter 2 verses 20 through 23. He saw that she had started crying, and he wiped her tears away. He concluded by telling her she was fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of the one true King, and he loved her so much to give His life for her. He told her the reason he wore the cross around his neck was because of God’s love for him. He took it off and put it around her neck. He told her to take it as a reminder, and he gave her his phone number and told her to call him anytime she had questions.
Lately, she had a lot of questions. As she looked out the window, she longed to see the stars but the only star
she saw was herself. She didn’t feel like much of a star. She felt empty and she couldn’t understand why. She had everything her heart desired. She had fame, money, a huge mansion, millions of fans around the world, and a very handsome actor boyfriend by the name of Jason Rose.
Despite all of it, she felt like she had been missing something. But what? Her boyfriend Jason, who was a Buddhist, said she was missing peace. And the way to have peace was to find the balance between the darkness and
