I have always enjoyed writing poetry, but what prompted me to share this composition with you, the reader, is that each poem has had such a positive influence on others, as well as on me.Poetry can and has changed lives in my family and people around the world.I love my family! Sure, there have been some ups and downs. That is part of life. That is what inspired this writer for yet another title.I learned early in life to share, so here's to you, my fellow readers! History in the making

Temper’s flared high

Two murders were committed

In vain they have died

Some said it was racial

Some said it was love

Some say one person is guilty

The judgment will surely come from above

That’s why I get the big bucks

Marine to marine, he spoke to me

Stand up when it’s your turn

The glove was small, don’t you see

Twelve people filled with wisdom

Will say what’s right or wrong

History’s in the making

As I sit and write this song

Our system could be better

Our system is not the best

But with justice, love, and honor

May these two victims be peaceful and at rest.
