    The last few snow flurries drifted through the air as Bryn Davies watched the Jefferson Bus pull away from the parking lot. Adjusting her weekend bag, she glanced down at her ticket. An utter disaster. She glanced around the area. Not much to see.

    Turning to head into the gas station, she slipped. In an attempted to regain her footing stepped on someone’s foot.

    Hey, I walk on that foot. a voice drew her attention. A man about her age stood mere inches away, phone in hand. His other hand gently grabbed her elbow, helping her steady herself.

    So do I, she shot back. Adjusting the bag on her shoulder again.

    He chuckled. Are you alright?

    No. I mean yes. How’s your foot?

    Steel toe boots, so I didn’t feel a thing. He said, a playful smile crossed his face for a second. Did you miss your bus?
