About this ebook
It is a text of love, a musing of peace as well as personal and collective growth.
In the great reset of our time, the bees can serve as a lantern, lighting and guiding a path for mankind to follow.
This book connects the great knowledge of the bees to practical human life, exploring social, psychological, biological scientific research, and even health and medicinal aspects too.
It investigates aspects of the bee’s behaviours, their relationships, the roles they perform, how they work and serve a higher purpose greater than themselves.
Their great knowledge of mathematics and architecture demonstrates how their work shaped our world throughout history and helps all organisms on earth to thrive. Ah, the mighty bee: not even one of us would survive without their labour and toil.
Indeed, many remarkable insights can be gained by looking through the tiny yet vast lens of the honeybee.
This book will make a valuable gift for those who dare to dream or aim to live a life full of meaning, intention and purpose.

be
/bē/
As in to be, to exist. To be in a state of being.
Wow! What does that even mean? What does it mean to be a human being? Who are we? Where are we and where are we going? What is the point of all these things that amount to what we call life on this small green, brown and blue dot in the cosmos?
These are perhaps some of the most fundamental existential questions of our time.
Mankind seems to be experiencing an identity crisis. There is so much strife and hardship and not to mention political, religious and social discontent and discord. In this modern day and age, mankind seems a little out of sorts, increasingly out of touch with nature, caught up in high levels of stress, uncertainty, anxiety and depression. An increasing number of individuals are affected with various diseases often associated with poor lifestyle choices, including metabolic syndromes, cancers and mental health disorders.
With so many of the people of the world experiencing a great deal of poverty within a harsh social environment, can we truly consider ourselves a great civilization? This magnificent and marvelous civilization of the 21st century, with all our advanced technological tools and tricks, which continue to advance in leaps and bounds while making gigantic progressive strides; what will our legacy be for the generations to come?
If we want to be remembered and celebrated for being civilized in our greatest hour, we need to consider the manner in which we conduct ourselves and how we treat others. At this point in time, mankind is in desperate need of a lantern to guide the path, especially a shining lantern that can reconnect mankind with his or her roots: to remind us of our origins, facilitating our progression and evolution to a higher state of consciousness.
You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.
Deuteronomy (5:33)
I would like to propose a tiny yet hardly insignificant creature: the honeybee.
The honeybee can be a great example for mankind to follow and we can learn a great deal from them.
The bee is a living being that exhibits a remarkable sophistication; one that is incredibly useful, and not only to its own species. The efforts of bees assist many others on this planet, animals and humans alike.
Bees have been around for a very long time, with recent fossil evidence of an ancient nest discovered by paleontologists indicating that bees were alive and well in Patagonia 100 million years ago, with this being the oldest fossil evidence of modern bees to date.¹
bee
/bi i ˈi/
A honeybee, an insect of a large group, including many solitaries as well as social kinds. Interestingly, it can also be defined as a meeting for communal work or amusement.
The bee is more honored than other animals, not because she labors, but because she labors for others.
St. John Chrysostom
The bee community consists of a network of individuals all having different qualities and capabilities. They act in unison to perform diverse functions not only for the survival of their own colony but for the surrounding ecosystem at large.
Bees are a symbol of hard work. They are superorganisms that benefit and support life for everyone, in what truly is a remarkable story of self-sacrifice for the greater good.
They exist for a goal greater than just themselves and do not live a life aimed only at self-sustenance and survival.
I truly wonder if bees are aware of the unbelievably special work they do and just how much they impact on our everyday lives?
The one who plants trees knowing that he will never sit in their shade, has at least started to understand the meaning of life.
Rabindranath Tagore
"And your Lord inspired to the bee, Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees and [in] that which they construct. Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you].
There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed, in that is a sign for a people who give thought."
The Holy Qur’an [16:68-69]
I believe that the bee is inspired by God, and that it is performing a divine mission, for its ways are calculated and measured.
I believe this to be the key to their longevity and what has caused them to keep pushing on one hundred million years later.
Great wisdom can be derived from their actions and that is if the work being performed is as meaningful as possible, such as one’s life work, a true calling, or purpose, it could offer a great recompense in times of adversity and difficulty.
I believe their example can certainly make it easier to endure the tough moments that we will all inevitably encounter. The example of the bees affords us the ability to transcend our troubles with hope and faith in the possibility of achieving our goals, dreams and collective destiny.
Take a journey with me through this book, let us take a closer look at the bee and see what we can uncover from their life secrets.
Let us discover how their actions can be of benefit to us practically, on our quest to live prosperous, holistic and bee-autiful lives of love and peace.

The bee is a noble creature that performs several vitally important functions. Bees pollinate the plants in our gardens, parks, and the countryside. They are a symbol of
