    Anna, who is now 81, lost the battle with cancer to her husband in February 2012. She and her husband, who were in their mid-60s at the time, decided to live in their long-time home. The house, which has five bedrooms and a 2-story second floor, is located in an upper-middle neighborhood near one of America’s largest cities.

    Anna and her spouse paid off their mortgage many years back. In addition to hosting occasional holidays gatherings, the house also serves as a retirement home for the couple. It is more than 3000 square feet above the ground with a large finished lower level. This house requires two central air conditioning systems to cool it in summer and two gas furnaces for warmth in winter.

    In their early retirement years, they felt that the house was outdated. They started a series of major renovations to the house, including the replacement of windows, residing, roofing, and the addition of a four-season sunroom.

    Because of its high-end location, the house needs constant external maintenance. Lawn mowing, fertilizing. weeding. trimming. mulching. planting of annuals. Pruning. leaf removal. snow removal.
